Carol Retseck Leirer. Carol moved from Chicago to Colorado in 1996 to attend The University of Denver Law School. She  received the American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Procedure in 1998 and achieved her Juris Doctorate and Colorado Bar License in 1999. She started her legal career as a Law Clerk in Denver and then in 2001 was hired as a Prosecutor at the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. In her 12 years as a Deputy District Attorney, she took over 100 cases to trial. In County Court, she prosecuted DUIs, domestic violence and other misdemeanors. Carol was a prominent DA in the Juvenile Prosecution Unit for 5 years and assisted in the formation of the 1st Judicial District Juvenile Mental Health Court Program. Carol's next 3 years were spent in the Crimes Against Children Unit, prosecuting sex offenses against children and felony child abuse. Brittani is one of the managing members for the Colorado office of Alhasoon, Glidden & Glidden, LLC. Prior to joining Alhasoon, Glidden & Glidden, LLC., Brittani worked at several law firms in Colorado where her main practice areas focused on criminal defense, DUI/DWAI/DUID, personal injury, family law, and attending law school, she interned with the Innocence Project handling multiple post-conviction DNA cases involving murder, rape, robbery, and burglary. There she gained experience with various types of DNA testing methods, including touch DNA, as well as, other types of forensic evidence testing graduated Cum Laude from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law with a concentration in litigation.
