Carol Retseck Leirer. Carol moved from Chicago to Colorado in 1996 to attend The University of Denver Law School. She  received the American Jurisprudence Award in Criminal Procedure in 1998 and achieved her Juris Doctorate and Colorado Bar License in 1999. She started her legal career as a Law Clerk in Denver and then in 2001 was hired as a Prosecutor at the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. In her 12 years as a Deputy District Attorney, she took over 100 cases to trial. In County Court, she prosecuted DUIs, domestic violence and other misdemeanors. Carol was a prominent DA in the Juvenile Prosecution Unit for 5 years and assisted in the formation of the 1st Judicial District Juvenile Mental Health Court Program. Carol's next 3 years were spent in the Crimes Against Children Unit, prosecuting sex offenses against children and felony child abuse. She has also handled cases involving felony drug possession and distribution, burglary, vehicular homicide, identity theft and more. Carol has been representing individuals charged with DUI and other criminal offenses since 2013, and has the legal knowledge and expertise to evaluate a case from the perspectives of both the prosecution and defense to achieve the best result for her clients. Carol also has experience with Business and Entertainment Law and Domestic Relations Law.
