I am a Colorado native and graduated from Evergreen high school.  After attending college at Trinity University in Texas, I returned to Denver and worked at the Colorado State Auditor's office and pursued my certified public accountant's license.  I then attended law school at the University of Denver.  In 1999, I moved to Washington D.C. and started my legal career with the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division, Western Criminal Enforcement Section as a federal prosecutor handling cases across the western half of the United States.  I gained a thorough knowledge of the inner workings of the IRS and gained expertise in criminal tax matters.  I have taken that knolwedge combined with my experience as a certified public accountant and have used it in private practice since 2004 to assist taxpayers with all types of tax issues including audits, collection matters, employment tax/trust fund issues, voluntary disclousres, offshore bank disclosures, offers in compromise, innocent spouse, identify theft, penalty abatements, tax appeals and U.S. Tax Court cases.  I have also represented many criminal clients and witnesses in criminal tax investigations and criminal tax prosecutions.. My partner and I also represent the Jefferson County Health Department and Board of Health so I have expertise in environmental and public health issues.. When I am not assisting clients, I am busy as a mom of three and find myself splitting my time between youth baseball fields, swim meets and dance studios.

After graduating from Tulane Law School in 1994, I settled in the Denver area practicing at prestigious law firms in the Metro area.  In 2004, I opened my own practice focusing solely on family law.  In 2016, I began my mediation practice because I had seen too many cases which should have settled, rather than going the route of litigation.  Today, my mediation practice focuses solely on helping people come together in an easier, more affordable manner, so they can move on with their lives in a more harmonious fashion.. I have lectured at numerous family law conferences, sat on the Ethics Committee for several years, and have been admitted to the Colorado Bar, the United States District Court, District of Colorado, and the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit.  I am a mother, stepmother, divorcee happily remarried, traveler, dog lover and good restaurant junkie.  I look forward to helping you with any and all family law matters without the high cost of litigation.
