TARA JORFALD focuses her practice on appeals, judicial reviews, and postconviction proceedings in juvenile delinquency and criminal matters.. Tara has represented juveniles and adults in the Colorado Supreme Court, the Colorado Court of Appeals, and district courts and county courts in the state of Colorado.  She also provides advice and guidance to trial attorneys representing juveniles, and she recently argued a juvenile sentencing issue before the Colorado Supreme Court.. Tara has an expertise in litigation of cases involving children charged as adults.  Tara is a member of the Colorado Graham and Miller litigation committee and is working on a number of cases involving the resentencing of juveniles originally sentenced to life without parole. Kerry Simpson is a 1998 graduate of the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law. She received her undergraduate degree from Baylor University. Kerry was admitted to the Arizona bar in 1999 and to the Colorado bar in 2004.  Kerry focuses her practice on representation of foster parents, relatives, non-relative caregivers and step-parents in child welfare, adoption, allocation of parental rights and guardianship cases.     Kerry began her legal career in 1999 working as a criminal prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Phoenix, Arizona.
