Growing up in Oklahoma, I was frequently invovled with children and education. Apart from the usual babysitting, I was also very involved helping with my mother's first grade classroom. I attended Booker T. Washington High School, which is a nationally recognized magnet school. After graduation, I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with an associated minor in Philosophy from UNM. I began attending the University of Denver College of Law in 2000, from which I received my Juris Doctorate in 2003.. I did not take the traditional path to becoming an attorney, however. After graduating from the University of Denver I moved to Dillon, Colorado. Prior to becoming a dedicated family law attorney, I was a children's snowboard instructor for Breckenridge Ski Resort for four years. I returned to Denver in 2008 to briefly work for a personal injury firm. I did not find that personal injury was a good fit for me. I began doing intern work for Colorado Legal Services/Metro Volunteer Lawyers in 2009. This is where I received my introduction to family law. I began working for myself in 2010 and have not looked back.. I truly am dedicated to helping people through their divorces, custody issues and all other aspects that involve family law. The cases are seldom easy from an emotional standpoint. Being a mother, myself, to three young children I understand the heartache that can result from having to share custody of your children. However, I also understand the importance of having both parents being invloved in the children's lives. I offer caring and zealous representation and promise to never stop doing my very best for Colorado families.

Barlow Anderson moved to Colorado in 2011 to attend school at Denver University Sturm College of Law. After graduating in 2014, Barlow began work as an Associate Attorney at a highly reputable family law firm that specialized in fathers’ rights and large asset dissolution and allocation cases. While there, Barlow recognized an imbalance between the cost of legal representation and the clients’ needs and expectations.. Understanding much of the high cost of litigation comes from parties’ inability to proactively reach just and equitable resolution, Barlow worked toward equitable ends and kept his clients informed of their rights and responsibilities under Colorado law. After nearly two years, he began work as a Law Clerk to two District Court judges in the 18th Judicial District’s Douglas County. Assisting his judges in Criminal, Civil, Family, Probate, and Mental Health fields of law, Barlow discovered the importance of making the legal process clear and approachable to non-attorneys.. Barlow’s love for the law sprouted from personal experiences which led him to law school, but he looks for every opportunity to enjoy the real reason he moved to Colorado, his love of the outdoors.. An experienced outdoorsman, Barlow has been rock climbing, ice climbing, white water kayaking, mountain biking, and fly fishing for more than fifteen years. Whether hundreds of feet up granite cliffs or Colorado surfing (freestyle whitewater kayak surfing), he makes the most out of everything he does. But what he really looks forward to is training his now four year old son to join him on his crazy adventures.. A few times a month, Barlow teaches people to rock climb. Although he can’t get out as much as he likes to, he loves sharing his love for the sport to other people.. Barlow also has a love of Japanese culture and tradition. In addition to teaching himself Japanese language, he practices Kendo (Japanese fencing) and Iaido.. The best part about Barlow's life is his son. The six year old keeps him busy, but the two get to explore all the things they love together.
