Growing up in Oklahoma, I was frequently invovled with children and education. Apart from the usual babysitting, I was also very involved helping with my mother's first grade classroom. I attended Booker T. Washington High School, which is a nationally recognized magnet school. After graduation, I attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with an associated minor in Philosophy from UNM. I began attending the University of Denver College of Law in 2000, from which I received my Juris Doctorate in 2003.. I did not take the traditional path to becoming an attorney, however. After graduating from the University of Denver I moved to Dillon, Colorado. Prior to becoming a dedicated family law attorney, I was a children's snowboard instructor for Breckenridge Ski Resort for four years. During her time at DU, Kate sought out as many experiential opportunities as possible including as a family law clerk for two semesters, as an extern for the Office of the Municipal Public Defender in Denver, and as a Student Attorney in the DU Criminal Defense Clinic for multiple semesters. Ashley is a Colorado native and attended the University of Denver where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in 2006.  Ashley obtained her Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2011.. During law school she completed an externship in St. Croix, USVI where she worked on class action and personal injury cases.  Ashley has volunteered as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) advocate to protect the best interests of abused and neglected children in both her community and the courtroom.  Ashley worked at a Colorado Springs Law Firm for three years where she practiced family law and bankruptcy law.  Ashley’s passion is to help her clients during stressful and challenging times by providing legal guidance and a compassionate ear to those in need.. Outside the practice of law, Ashley enjoys reading, skiing, exploring her beautiful home state with her family, and is a certified yoga instructor.
