Ms. Siri is the Executive Director of the Women's Law Center of Maryland (WLC). The WLC is a leading voice for justice and empowerment for women across the state.  Through its three arms of advocacy, education, and direct legal services representation, it has remained a vital organization over the last forty years by continually evolving to address the legal issues women face. Serving over 11,000 individuals in the last year alone through direct services and education programs, WLC protects the safety, stability and rights of Maryland women and their families.  Among its many crucial activities, the WLC testifies in Annapolis in favor or opposition of legislation affecting women, operates Family Law and Employment Law Hotlines, and represents victims of domestic violence in protection order hearings and in immigration matters.. In addition to her professional career, Ms. Siri has spent much of her free time supporting the community through a variety of local organizations.  Having volunteered with Planned Parenthood of Maryland (PPM) for over a decade, Ms. Siri joined the Board of Directors in 2008, serving in a variety of roles, including Chair of the Funding Diversification Committee, Co-Chair of the PPM Spring Gala, Vice-Chair of the Board, and member of the Executive Committee.  She began her two-year tenure as Chair of the Board in July of 2014.  She is also a current board member of the University of Maryland School of Law Alumni Board.   She was named one of Maryland’s Leading Women in 2012 by The Daily Record and was honored on their VIP List in 2013.  In 2015 she was honored to be listed by The Daily Record as one of Maryland's Top 100 Women.  She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and the U.S. Circuit Court for the Fourth Circuit.. In her spare time Ms. Siri enjoys running, biking, and swimming, having completed over a dozen half marathons and four triathlons.  She also enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time with her husband, 2 young children, and rescue dog.

Lee J. Eidelberg, recognized by Maryland Super Laywers, The National Trial Lawyers, Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, received his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board, the University's Honor Court as a prosecutor, and authored "Wrongful Birth," University of Baltimore Law Forum, Vol. 2, 1982. A 1979 graduate of the University of Maryland, College Park, he also holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing management. Mr. Eidelberg began his legal career in public service as an Assistant State's Attorney for Baltimore County, Maryland and combined his extensive training at the National College of District Attorneys in Houston, Texas, with countless hours prosecuting misdemeanor and felony cases in Maryland’s district, juvenile and circuit courts. After serving as the Unit Chief for Baltimore County’s Repeat Offender, Felony Review and Arson Units, Mr. Eidelberg entered private practice to defend individuals charged with traffic offenses ranging from speeding, driving suspended, revoked or uninsured, to reckless driving and DUI/DWI. He also routinely appears before the state’s Office of Administrative Hearings to defend clients facing license suspension or revocation due to excessive points or refusal to submit to breathalyzer tests. In Maryland's criminal courts, Mr. Eidelberg is also frequently engaged to defend clients charged with assault, domestic violence, bad checks, shoplifting, theft, CDS and /illegal drug possession and other criminal offenses.. Additionally, Mr. Eidelberg concentrates on pursuing financial compensation for personal injury victims, including losses suffered from medical malpractice, in automobile accidents, slips and falls, and other negligent acts or omissions. A long-standing member of the Baltimore County Bar Association and the Medical Malpractice and Automobile Negligence sections of the Maryland Association of Justice, Mr. Eidelberg has successfully obtained both significant jury awards and settlements through effective presentation of cases in trial, mediation and binding arbitration. David K. Gildea, the managing partner of the firm, practices in the area of real estate development, land use and zoning. His practice area includes all jurisdictions in Maryland, with a focus on the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.. Mr. Gildea has represented entities ranging from large federal agencies to NYSE traded homebuilders and REITs to local land developers and retailers in obtaining development and entitlement approvals.  The types of projects Mr. Gildea has been involved in range from large town center mixed-use development, urban redevelopment efforts, large residential developments, hotels, hospitals, medical office buildings, apartment buildings,  multi-story office buildings, grocery-anchored retail centers, retirement communities, home improvement centers, industrial warehouses, fuel service stations, storage facilities, and a vast myriad of other uses.  Mr. Gildea has been involved in many large-scale projects in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area and is knowledgeable about the Growth Allocation process and obtaining approvals in the Chesapeake Bay Critical Area.  Mr. Gildea has also been involved in many rezonings and Planned Unit Developments (“PUDs”) throughout the State of Maryland, most notably in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.. In 2006, Mr. Gildea served on Governor Martin O'Malley's transition team as a member of the Environmental Workgroup. Mr. Gildea also served on Attorney General Douglas Gansler's Transition Team as the Co-Chair of the Environmental Workgroup.. Mr. Schmidt also has significant experience in representing clients before State and local administrative agencies and tribunals.. Prior to joining Smith, Gildea & Schmidt, LLC, Mr. Schmidt served as Zoning Commissioner (Hearing Officer) of Baltimore County, Maryland. His tenure as Zoning Commissioner for over 13 years (1991-2004) represents the longest period of service of any individual ever in that position. Mr. Schmidt also served on the Baltimore County Board of Appeals for 5 years during the 1980s. All told, he has personally adjudicated over 3,000 cases involving complex land use issues.. Mr. Schmidt is a 1975 graduate of Western Maryland College (now McDaniel College). He received his J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore. He has extensively lectured regarding land use issues and has authored published articles regarding historic preservation in Maryland and administrative practice. He is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and Baltimore County Bar Association, and previously served as a member of the MSBA's Board of Governors..
