The State Board of Election Supervisors serves to review election laws and the conduct of elections within the state. According to statute, the board is comprised of seven members, including the lieutenant governor, the secretary of state, the attorney general and the commissioner of elections or a designee of the secretary of state, as determined by the secretary of state. The board also includes one member of the Clerks of Court Association and one member of the Registrars of Voters Association elected by their respective associations to serve. The remaining member is selected by the Governor from nominations submitted by the presidents of Centenary College, Dillard University, Louisiana College, Loyola University, Tulane University of Louisiana, and Xavier University. I was nominated by the president of Loyola University. I am honored to serve on the Board..
