I have been practicing law since 1994 exclusively in the area of personal injury litigation.  I was a partner at the firm of Hall Law, P.A. in St. Cloud, Minnesota until 2008. In 2009, I formed the firm of Stephens Law, P.A. I currently maintain offices in both Duluth and St. Cloud, Minnesota.. I have successfully represented hundreds of personal injury clients in a wide variety of personal injury claims.  My experience includes work on cases ranging from motor vehicle and slip/fall accidents to cases involving wrongful death, brain injury, burns, organ/limb loss, and toxic exposure.  I have successfully tried jury cases to verdict in state district court and have successfully worked on appeals, having argued both in the Minnesota Court of Appeals and the Minnesota Supreme Court.. I have been nominated by my legal peers as a Rising Star of Minnesota in Minnesota Law & Politics magazine.  I am an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association. I serve as a neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.  I have also served as President of the John E. I currently live in Atlanta, GA and work as a Senior Attorney in the Marketing Advisory Department of Primerica's Office of the General Counsel. While I predominantly focus on Internet and social media compliance, I also review corporate media for compliance with applicable regulations.. I am interested in all opportunities, particularly those involving the intersection of media/social media/the Internet and the law.. Admitted to the State Bar of Georgia.

I began the practice of law in 1998.  I spent 18 years  with another well-established Duluth law firm accepting the invitation to join the law firm of SiebenCarey.  I work primarily on cases involving car accident, product liability, wrongful death and workers compensation law.  I also handle professional negligence cases.. Although my personal office is in Duluth, at SiebenCarey, I handle cases across Minnesota and Wisconsin, including the Twin Cities metro area out of the Minneapolis office.. I only work for individuals - never for the insurance companies.  I also handle cases on a contingency basis - meaning, I only get paid at the conclusion of the case if I am successful, and only as a percentage of what I am able to recover for my client.  If there is no recovery, there is no fee.

I am a Labor and Employment Law Specialist certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA).  A MSBA certification is obtained only if a certain percentage of an attorney's practice is devoted to a certain area, the attorney receives the endorsements of judges and other attorneys, and passes a written test in the particular area of the law.. In addition to being a certified specialist, I have been an Administrative Law Judge (1994-2003) and have handled litigation in the courtroom since 1974 as a prosecutor, defense counsel, employee's counsel or judge.. I am experienced in all areas of employment law, from hiring to termination and everything in between.  I have handled many employment cases in the courtroom, or on appeal, including non-compete, non-solicit, confidentiality agreements, minority sharehoilder/owner matters,  and similar cases.

I am a Georgia native, and attended Collins Hill and Rabun County High Schools. After graduating High School, I attended Piedmont College and earned a Bachelor’s degree in History. I started my career in law as a Personal Injury Paralegal.  I worked myself up to the position of a Supervising Senior Paralegal where I remained for six years.. Always wanting to do more, I decided to become a lawyer, and was accepted into law school.  During my first year of law school, I worked at the Rabun County District Attorney’s Office and during my second and third year, I worked with The Ryczek Firm, one of the best traffic ticket lawyers in Gwinnett County and in Georgia.  I was also a Pro Bono Student Ambassador for my school, and I received a 2016 Pro Bono Student Ambassador Award for my significant contributions of promoting our Pro Bono program within the student body and the legal community.  I graduated in the Top Twenty Percent of my class, earning a Cum Laude distinction. I also graduated with Pro Bono Honors for giving more than 100 Pro Bono hours to those in legal need.. Outside of work, I enjoy being with my husband, our three children, spending time with our families, and being active in our church community. My family and I also like to hike the mountain trails, kayak the beautiful rivers, spend time with our dog, and watch college football. We are also avid Braves and Falcons fans!!
