As a practicing attorney since 2007, I've been fortunate to have helped my clients navigate through over 2,000 chapter 7 or 13 bankruptcies, and fought for settlements for many clients who were unlawfully harassed to pay a discharged debt after they filed for bankruptcy relief. I've also helped obtain employment- and family-based immigration and citizenship benefits for scores of clients. I'm also proud to have taught at legal education seminars on various issues, from chapter 13 practice, to immigration-related employer sanctions, to law firm management.. I’m not a Colorado native, but like they say I got here as fast as I could! I graduated from CU-Boulder with a Bachelor’s in Religious Studies and Anthropology, and received my J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center. After graduating law school, my family – Brooke, Soren and Amelia – and I moved back to the Denver area, where I practiced immigration law with Ann Allott and bankruptcy law with Sharon Grossenbach before opening my own firm.. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family (the 2- and 4-legged varieties), running, finding (and drinking) great Colorado beer, cheering on the Nuggets & Rockies, playing poker, and reading history and science books.
