After passing the bar examination, Tom began his own practice and has been representing clients charged with criminal matters ever since.  Tom has returned to Douglas County and now resides in the town of Parker, Colorado.

Nathan Dowell graduated from the University of Washington in 1992 and from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law in 1999.  Nathan's entire legal career has been devoted to family law, handling pre-decree district court matters, post-decree district court matters, appellate matters, and serving as a mediator for both represented and unrepresented parties.  Nathan recently joined McGuire Law, enlarging that firm's Family Law practice and expanding the firm's practice into the area of family law appeals. Nathan is a member of the Douglas-Elbert Bar Association and Arapahoe Bar Associations.  Nathan has authored, co-authored, and edited publications on various family law topics and has chaired/lectured at various CLE seminars throughout his legal career.. David S. Hartstein was born in 1944. He graduated from Fairlawn High School in 1962 and Rider College in 1966. He graduated Fordham Law School in 1969 and was a member of the Fordham Law Review. Mr. Hartstein was admitted to the New York Bar in 1970 and to the New Jersey Bar in 1973. He is also a member of the United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York as well as the District of New Jersey and the Third Circuit. Mr. Hartstein is a lifelong resident of Bergen County. He has been practicing in the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey for thirty years and is primarily engaged in litigation with a strong emphasis on family law. Mr. Hartstein has been published in the Fordham Law Review and in the New Jersey Family Lawyer, where he co-authored an article on the question of whether or not the execution of a pre-nuptial agreement can waive a spouse's right to her husband's pension under ERISA.
