She graduated magna cum laude from the Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a concentration in business. She is active in the community as the captain of her Relay for Life team, supporting and raising funds for the American Cancer Society. She has also volunteered with the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) clinic to assist in the preparation of tax returns for lower income individuals..
