I was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. I attended Radford University in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains, where I majored in history and minored in media studies. Following college, I worked in mental health, where I worked with adults with traumatic brain injuries ahd children with traumatic histories.. In 2016, my now wife and I moved to Eugene, Oregon, where I worked with children with traumatic histories. In 2017, I attended the University of Oregon School of Law. While in law school, I served on the board of the Oregon Law Review as an Articles Editor and worked as a research assistant for Professor Suzanne Rowe and Professor Carl Bjerre. I also worked as a law clerk at Hutchinson Cox prior to graduation.. I was a military wife for 18 years, travelling to many places throughout the United States and Europe.  It was a fascinating experience and taught me about different cultures and people.  I use that experience in my law practice.  I try to focus on more than just a person's legal issues.  I feel it is important to help a client stay calm and focused during a time in their lives when so much may seem to be out of control.. I grew up in the small Eastern Oregon town of Milton-Freewater. I moved to Eugene to attend law school at the University of Oregon in 2002, and have lived here ever since.
