Nafees’ practice focuses on advising clients involved in various business disputes and related matters, with an emphasis on commercial litigation and real estate.. Prior to joining Nold Muchinsky, Nafees worked as a litigation associate at an AM Law 100 law firm in Seattle.. Nafees was born and spent the formative years of his life in Karachi, Pakistan.  He is fluent in Urdu/Hindi.  In his free time, Nafees enjoys spending time with his fiancée, Lindsay, and their pup, Roux, and playing racquetball, reading fiction, and trying out new restaurants.

Mark's practice focuses on commercial, intellectual property, and real estate litigation for individuals as well as small and medium sized businesses.  Among other things, Mark has aided clients in quieting title to real property, opposing trademark applications, recovering personal property, obtaining insurance-paid defenses related to pending legal claims, and litigating contract disputes.  Mark is proud to include area gun ranges among those clients he has been privileged to represent.  Prior to entering private practice, Mark served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Robert E. Keeton, of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.  While a law student, Mark served as a legal extern for the Honorable Barbara Madsen of the Washington State Supreme Court and was a board member of the Harvard Journal on Legislation.

Joshua Schaer is a Principal Attorney at Oseran Hahn P.S.  Referrals welcome!  Joshua focuses on real property, corporate, and general civil litigation matters. During the past 20 years, Joshua has represented clients in a wide range of cases, including criminal defense, mortgage foreclosure, lien priority, boundary disputes, residential property receiverships, and business contracts. In addition to significant trial and motions practice experience, he has successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit Bankruptcy Appellate Panel, Washington State Supreme Court, Idaho Supreme Court, and each division of the Washington Court of Appeals.. An Eastside resident since 1988, Joshua attended the University of Washington to obtain both his Political Science and Juris Doctorate degrees. While in law school, he founded the Technology Law Society and was named to the Moot Court Honor Board. From 2008 through 2015, Joshua served on the Issaquah City Council, where he chaired the city’s Infrastructure Committee and the regional Eastside Transportation Partnership.

James P. Ware represents clients in complex litigation, before appellate courts, and on appeals of tax assessments before the Department of Revenue and before the Board of Tax Appeals.  James has served as lead counsel in high dollar trials and has obtained favorable results for numerous clients through motions practice.. James has also obtained favorable results in numerous appeals before Washington’s Court of Appeals as wells as before the Board of Tax Appeals and the DOR’s Appeals Division. Of note was James’s work in Murphey v. Charles D. Grass CPA and Associates.  James successfully argued for reversal and remand of the trial court's dismissal.  For James’s clients in the matter, that meant that their claims were not barred by a three year statute of limitation as had been asserted by the CPA firm.  After the case was remanded, James negotiated a favorable settlement.

I began my career in 1986 as a criminal prosecutor for Pierce County; since then I have successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials. Since entering private practice, I have continued to focus my practice in representing parties in condemnation actions and other real estate cases.. Additionally, I act as general and special counsel to a number of jurisdictions thoughtout the State.. My personal hobbies are cycling, golfing, theater, music and films.

Chris, an associate, joined Inslee Best in 2012.  His practice involves working with the firm's multiple practice groups, with a focus on commercial litigation, business planning, formations and transactions, and governmental.. Chris currently serves as president of the East King County Bar Association.  During law school Chris participated on the National Moot Court team, and was selected as a member of the Moot Court Honor Council.  He also worked as an extern at the United States Attorneys’ Office.  He was a board member and vice-president of the Student Bar Association.  Chris was also active with the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, Connelly chapter, and served as its president.
