Lyn Eliovson is the founder and principal of our practice, devoted since its start to elder law and its complex sub-specialties — Medicaid/Title XIX eligibility, planning and applications… estate planning… asset protection… nursing home admissions… wills and trusts… special needs trusts… probate and conservatorship — while particularly focused on the many new issues and legislative changes rising to challenge us as we live longer than any generation before.. Attorney Eliovson is a member of the Elder Law Section of the DSC_2016Connecticut Bar Association, its Estate and Probate Section, and past Co-Chairperson of the Stamford/Norwalk Regional Bar's Elder Law Committee. She is an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). She is also a member of the Greater Bridgeport Bar Association’s Estates and Trusts and Elder Law Committees. Attorney Eliovson has served on the Board of Directors of the Southwestern Connecticut Agency on Aging (SWCAA), the Greater Bridgeport Elderly Services Council and on the boards of several local civic groups. She is also on the Board of the Connecticut Geriatric Association.. Attorney Eliovson is the author of A Holistic Approach for Elder Law Clients and The Renaissance Practitioner, and Elder Law as a Multi-Disciplinary Practice, both published by The Connecticut Law Tribune. She is on the Faculty of the Medical Educational Services (MEDS) Workshop Understanding and Working with Institutional Medicaid for the Elderly in an Era of Constantly Shrinking Benefits, and is a frequent speaker at continuing education centers, senior centers, hospitals, support groups, AARP events, National Medical Educational Services programs, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, and other agencies and institutions. Attorney Eliovson received her J.D. Degree, with high honors, from Quinnipiac University School of Law; her B.A. Degree, magna cum laude with the Academic Medal of Excellence, from Sacred Heart University (inducted to Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society); and her A.A.S. Degree, summa cum laude, from SUNY (inducted to Sigma Delta Sigma Honor Society).
