During my 33 years of public service practice I worked as a Legislative Legal Advisor, Assistant Attorney General, and Director of the Legal Office at the Connecticut Department of Public Health. The work included drafting legislation for the General Assembly, representation of the Department of Public Health in a wide variety of regulatory, administrative and judicial matters and managing all disciplinary actions brought against licensed health care providers. Nearly seven years ago, I transitioned out of public service and now operate a private practice that specializes in health care law. Many of my clients are subject to actions against their professional licenses by the Department of Public Health. I have also lobbied proposed regulations and legislation on behalf of major professional organizations and advised such organizations on important scope of practice issues.  Other areas of activity include employment issues, copyright law, franchise matters and licensure elgibility.  I am available seven days a week and most evenings until 10:00 pm.
