He then went on to serve his country in The United States Air Force for four years before returning home and attending Francis Marion University in Florence, South Carolina. He earned his Bachelors of Business Degree in 2004. Mr. Edwards then attended the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in Washington, D.C. and earned his Juris Doctorate in 2010. While in law school, he clerked for the Public Defender’s Office of the District of Columbia and was a summer Judicial Clerk for the Fourth Circuit Federal Judge, the Honorable Margaret Seymour.. In April 2012, he then opened his own law practice, The Law Office of Linward Edwards II, where he continues to represent clients in state and federal court cases today. His practice focuses on the areas of Personal Injury Law primarily automobile accidents, limited criminal defense and Family Law cases. In December 2014, Mr. Edwards was appointed as a Municipal Court Judge for the city of Florence, South Carolina. He continues to serve in that capacity on a part-time basis. He serves on numerous boards in his community including the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Pee Dee Area as well as The N.A.A.C.P. Linward is also an active and founding member of M.I.N.G.L.E of the Pee Dee which stands for Minorities Involved In Networking, Growth, Leadership, and Empowerment.
