I went on to compete as a Division I diver at Missouri State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in marketing. I received my J.D. from the University of Oregon, were I focused my studies on estate planning and probate law. During that time I also wrote and published an article for the American Bar Association Journal of Real Property, Trust, and Estate Law on handling digital assets after death.. In the fall of 2013 I began my clerkship for Anchorage Superior Court Judge, Patrick McKay. I became involved in a number of local organizations, including the Young Lawyers Section of the Anchorage Bar Association, where I served as Vice President in 2013, and President in 2014..
