My legal concentration is in appellate and commercial litigation in both state and federal courts.. Before joining Lippitt O’Keefe, I served as a law clerk intern for the Honorable Richard F. Suhrheinrich, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. I later served as a law clerk for the Honorable Marilyn J. Kelly, Chief Justice, Michigan Supreme Court, 1999 to 2000, and then in 2000, I served as a pre-hearing attorney for the Michigan Court of Appeals.. In 2010, I was appointed to serve through 2012 on the Michigan Supreme Court Committee on Model Civil Jury Instructions.. In addition to my love of the law, I also play music.  I have been playing the piano for over 30 years and I have been playing professionally since I was 14 years old.  In 2002, I won third prize in a Jerry Lee Lewis sound alike competition in Memphis, TN and I love to play ragtime and boogie-woogie piano.
