It's all about the relationship with my clients — meeting their needs and helping to solve their problems.. Working with clients to navigate the ins-and-outs of their legal matters with confidence is where my 15+ years of courtroom and practice experience come into play.. My goal is to empower you to take full control of your case — before the legal system does.. My practice areas are limited to criminal defense, divorce and family law, personal injury, social security disability, and worker's compensation. I also limit the number of clients I work with at any given time, so that I can dedicate my time, attention, and resources fully to my clients.

In the early 90's, I UN-lucked into a claims adjuster job right out of college.  I enjoyed it at first, and then began to feel guilty because of all the people I was forced to take advantage of.  I learned from defense lawyers how to take recorded statements and "get the goods" on the people that were hurt and was taught how to take advantage of the weaknesses in their case.  I was also taught how to get information about their prior medical treatment and how to use that against them.. One day, I settled a case for the insurance company for less than her medical bills.  She called 4 days later asking for more money to pay medical bills.  I told her I could not.  She cried.  That call changed my life.  I vowed to do the opposite of what I did then, and work for people, not soul-less insurnace companies.. I love slaying the insurance companies.  I strive to be the very best trial lawyer that I can ever be, and it all starts with trying my best to be a good person, and bringing hope to all of the people I serve.  I now have over 4000 former clients that I call friends.   They send me countless great referrals and I am blessed that I do not have to spend $80,000 per month to beg clients to call me.  I take the cases that I want to take, with good, deserving, honest and positive minded thinking clients.. It is all about family.  I have a passion for my work, but it is all for them that I do my job, and do it well.. With 4 children, we are always on the go.   They say life is what you do while you are making plans.  My life is fulfilled, and I am so grateful and thankful.. I also have a passion for coaching football.  I played briefly in college until I was hurt and enjoy sharing what all I have learned with young men, watching them succeed and believe in themselves, and hopefully teaching them a little bit about life along the way.. I enjoy playing guitar and singing, along with my wife who has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard in my life.  I am thankful for her.. In addition to my 4 wonderful kids, I have 4 hairy 4 legged ones (dogs) Buck, Ella, Jessie and Moe.  Loyalty is their strength, and they are always there for me, even on bad days.. If you have been injured and have questions regarding your injuries, please contact me. I can help you if you have been injured in a Car Accident, Truck Accident, Bicycle Accident, Pedestrian Accident, Motorcycle Accident, Slip or Fall, or experienced the Wrongful Death of a loved one.. In my 24 years of practicing law, I have been fortunate to be able to focus on the areas of the law that interest me the most. My practice has, in part, focused on the representation of children. That representation is sometimes tied to delinquent charges incurred by the child or as a guardian ad litem for children who are involved in dependency and neglect proceedings. This experience has also given me great insight when representing Parents, Grandparents and other family members who are concerned for the welfare of their children.. My love and unique approach to this area of the law is what influenced me to become certified as a Specialist in Child Welfare Law. I have been awarded that Certification by the National Association of the Council for Children. After obtaining that, I began representing children and parents within the school system who were in need of Independent Education Plans (IEP’s) or 504 plans. My years of experience as a litigator, in the Juvenile Court, and relationships within the school system, allow me to work with the family and the school system to obtain the educational results necessary for the child.. My other two main areas of practice are representing businesses and representing clients who have been injured either in an automobile accident, slip and fall or work related incident. I have been practicing in both these areas of the law since 1994, so I have extensive experience in business formation, employment law, and helping those who have been wrongfully injured.. In my law practice, I am calm, responsive and firm. My client’s appreciate the frankness with which I speak. I always advise my clients of the law and my honest analysis of their situation, while at the same time respecting their wishes and their ultimate decision.. I grew up in Key Largo, Florida, which led to my interests in scuba diving, boating, and anything related to water sports. I received my Psychology degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. I then received my law degree from Nova Southeastern School of Law in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in 1994. I am a member of Brentwood United Methodist Church, an active board member of the Highland Park Homeowners Association, a Daisy Troop leader, and actively volunteer at my children’s school.. I am most proud of my marriage to my husband, John, and our two children, my favorite son, Taylor, and my favorite daughter, Bella.

If you are looking for an experienced Court Room Lawyer, who will fight for you and aggressively represent you, then, give me a call.  I practice in all Courts in Tennessee and Federal District Court.  I have practiced law in WilliamsonCounty(Fanklin, Tennessee) for 31 years.  Whether you have a case in General Sessions Court like a DUI, Simple Possession, Shoplifting, a Probation Violation or something more serious in the Circuit Criminal Court like Burglary, Robbery or Felony Drug charges, give me a call and let's discuss your particular case.   Never go to court without representation by an experienced Attorney.. My primary area of practice is CRIMINAL DEFENSE.   I have handled thousands of Criminal cases over the past 31 years as both a lawyer and a Judge for 15 years.  About half my  cases are defending citizens just like you who have been charged with Driving Under the Influence(DUI).   Most people arrested for  DUI's are just ordinary citizens like you and me.  Most have never been arrested before and most have absolutely no Criminal record whatsoever.. If you have been arrested for a DUI, please give me a call and let's talk about  the circumstances under which you were arrested.   Did you take a BAC?  Did the officer give you a Field Sobriety Test, or did you refuse?  What was the reason for the officer to make the initial traffic stop and ultimately the arrest?   The smallest tidbit of information can turn your case from a conviction to a dismissal.   Give me a call and let me evaluate your case.. In addition to DUI's, about half of my practice is in representing citizens charged with just about every other crime in the book.   If you are charged with a crime, be it. Shoplifting, Theft, Burglary Robbery, a Probation Violation, Drugs, Parol violations, Misdemeanors of Felony Charges or perhaps you just want a lawyer to file a petition to have the Judge consider reducing your jail time, please give me a call and let's talk about the details of your case.  Every case is unique, just like a finger print. I will honestly evaluate your case and tell you what I think.  I would never want to overpromise and under deliver.     While I cannot guarantee the outcome of a case, I will promise to zealously represent you and do my very best to achieve your objectives.. Remember, although I have been a Judge for many years, I DO NOT JUDGE YOU, I REPRESENT YOU. Give me a call and let's talk in person about your case.

I did not grow up in a military family, but I am often asked that question.  Instead, my father was a college and professional football coach.  I lived in ten (10) states from Mississippi to Washington state to California and New York with many states in between before I was eighteen (18) years old.  Consequently, I appreciate all parts of our great country and the different backgrounds and experiences that people share with me every day.  During my upbringing, I learned to adapt to many different situations.  After all, the Southern culture is much different than California and New York.. I attended many different schools and had great difficulty deciding what I wanted to do when I grew up.  I also really enjoyed athletics and had great dreams to be a professional athlete.  I happened to be living in Buffalo, New York when I graduated from high school and started my college education at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York playing football.  I finished my first degree at the University of Mississippi in English.   I played football at Ole Miss for one (1) year as an ineligible transfer, but during that year I discovered the Greek life and focused on my social life.. After graduating from Ole Miss, the opportunities afforded an English graduate were not appealing to me.  As a result, on the advice of my grandfather and uncle, I enrolled in the accounting program at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.  Christian Brothers was the only school willing to allow me to complete the requirements for the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) exam in a calendar year.  It was a difficult program, but I completed the necessary accounting hours and accepted an associate accountant position with Coopers & Lybrand (n/k/a PricewaterhouseCoopers) in Memphis.. My experience at Coopers & Lybrand was an incredible opportunity to learn about many different businesses and people.  I traveled the United States providing auditing and consulting services to clients.  However, as I worked on initial public offerings for our clients, I realized that the legal side of professional service was more suitable to my interests and professional development.. In 1997, I completed my law school education at the University of Mississippi.  It was a great experience returning to school.  In fact, I enjoyed school so much that I continued in a graduate English program upon my graduation from law school.  I worked in the Dean of Students Office at the University of Mississippi and coordinated sorority rush while pursuing my Masters in English.  It was a great Fall semester until my girlfriend (now wife) told me that I needed to get a real job.. My pursuit of a real job brought us to Nashville.  I have called Nashville and Middle Tennessee home for almost eighteen (18) years.  Our three (3) children keep us running all over town with their many interests.. My law practice has evolved over the years.  I started my legal career defending physicians in medical malpractice cases.  I worked in small litigation firm before making the decision to practice as a sole practitioner in 2003.  I have been asked to represent people in all types of conflict situations including domestic relations, criminal defense, civil and commercial litigation and probate matters.  I also assist people with estate planning and advisory services.  My diverse professional background affords me the ability to share my knowledge with clients by delivering straightforward practical advice and solutions.  I continue to maintain my Tennessee CPA license in addition to my Mississippi law license.  I am still hoping for a case in Oxford during football season.  Due to the nature of my practice, I rarely have a conflict that prevents me from discussing your case and I do not have any insurance or corporate clients to prevent me from providing an honest answer to your question.

I began my legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Los Angeles County and spent fifteen years there handling thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases.  Over that period, I tried almost 100 cases in front of juries ranging from DUI's to murders and almost everything in between.  The last five years of my time at the DA's office, I specialized in domestic violence, child sexual and physical abuse and human trafficking.  These are the crimes that involve people who are at the most vulnerable time in their lives.  I developed both the interpersonal skills as well as the trial skills that make me uniquely qualified to handle these types of cases as a defense attorney.

I am attorney Kate Yeager Delk, and I have been working in Tennessee's justice system for more than 11 years. I represent individuals defending their rights and protecting their futures.Prior to opening my own practice, I prosecuted cases in the 21st Judicial District (Hickman, Lewis, Perry, and Williamson counties) for 10 years. I tried numerous cases over those 10 years and know what it takes to prove a case beyond a reasonable doubt. Also, as a former prosecutor, I negotiated thousands of cases, and I know how the other side thinks. This unique perspective means I can help protect my clients - both today and in the future. My experience means I know how hard it is for defendants to protect themselves and their rights and how important an experienced attorney is.. After graduating from Washington and Lee School of Law, I clerked for the Court of Criminal Appeals under Judge Tommy Woodall. As one of his two Law Clerks, I researched numerous criminal law issues and drafted opinions.
