I am recognized as a tenacious defender of my client’s rights that provides top shelf legal representation without the top shelf price. During law school I worked at the Fresno County District Attorney’s Office in the Consumer & Environmental Protection Division where I assisted in the prosecution of violations of California’s environmental protection laws and the laws regulating public advertising and unfair business practices. After leaving the District Attorney’s Office I worked as a Law Clerk for a real estate and business litigation firm for several years with a focus on real estate transactions, civil litigation, intellectual property, employment law, and business law.. After passing the California State Bar I was offered a position as an associate attorney at the law firm I was clerking for and began representing clients in areas of strategic entity formation, land acquisition, trademarks, contract negotiation, labor and employment, litigation, corporate dissolutions and business disputes.. In 2016 I took a position as an associate attorney at a boutique multi-state labor and employment law firm that specialized in counseling clients on labor and employment law matters and aggressively representing clients in litigation of employment law and business-related cases before state and federal courts and administrative agencies. At this law firm I represented clients in business disputes, class action lawsuits, employment actions and OSHA matters. In 2018, I was selected by his peers as a Northern California “Rising Star” as an Employment Litigation Attorney.. After working for several years with some of Fresno’s most experienced business and employment lawyers I felt it was the proper time to join Proper Defense Law Corporation’s and create its Civil Division by offering my experience and services to individuals and businesses.. I am dedicated to my profession and am constantly taking advantage of as many opportunities as possible to learn how to better advocate on behalf of my clients. I frequently attends seminars and lectures that are put on by some of the nation’s best attorneys and am an avid reader of books aimed at making me a better attorney.. In addition to my devotion to my career I am actively involved in the community through various organizations. For several years I served on the City of Fresno District 6 Plan Implementation Committee at the request of then councilman Lee Brand. In addition, I am heavily involved in the St. Agnes Men’s Club, Fresno County Women’s Lawyer Association and the Fresno County Bar Association.. I possess a tireless work ethic that is client driven and cost effective. I like to say that I provide big-city quality legal services without the big-city price. I makes sure the work is done right the first time, on-time, and every time.

I am devoted to providing members of the community who have suffered injury with high-quality legal representation. The concepts of respect, family and dignity are strong ideas that I hold closely in my personal injury practice. When a negligent act harms an individual, that harm impacts the entire family. I believe that accident victims deserve a fair shake from the insurance companies. My top priority is in protecting the vital interests of my clients. To that end, I help clients obtain the maximum recovery possible with the dignity and respect that they deserve.

I am a Fresno based federal and state criminal defense and government investigations attorney.  I provide the highest level of service for my clients.. I understand how federal and state prosecutors think - how they decide whether or not to file a criminal charge and what persuades them to decline filing, dismiss a case, or reduce the charges.  I know how to challenge the admissibility of evidence (suppression motions)  and how to present a criminal case to a jury or Judge.  My experience includes over 100 criminal jury trials.. For ten years I was the Chief of the Violent Crime and Narcotics Unit for the United States Attorney’s Office, Eastern District of California, Fresno.  My review and approval was needed for every wiretap, grand jury indictment, and plea bargain.  I evaluated every petition for commutation or pardon relating to a drug or violent crime conviction.  I personally prosecuted hundreds of federal criminal cases including conspiracy, drug and marijuana offenses, tax, money laundering, fraud, civil rights, firearms, assault, offenses by federal correctional officers and inmates, and offenses on federal land including Yosemite National Park and Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park.  I also have extensive experience in presenting cases to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.. My experience also includes five years as a state court prosecutor with the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office.  The jury trials I presented ranged from driving under the influence through burglary, robbery, sexual assault, and murder. I have used the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) to suppress digital evidence obtained when law enforcement searched a cell phone. A client's felony case was recently dismissed becasue we successfully moved for Mental Health Diversion (Penal Code ) and my client successfully completed her mental health program.. Facing a government investigation or criminal charges is stressful and involves serious potential consequences.  If you find yourself in the unfortunate position of being investigated or charged with a criminal offense, I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.

The path toward being one of the most extensively edcuation attorneys in the state is built with hard work, effort, desire, and education.. I knew before I ever began law school that being the best Criminal Defense / DUI Defense Attorney in the valley, and serving the Fresno, Fowler, Selma, Kingsburg, Caruthers, Reedley, Clovis, Dinuba area communities was a goal of mine.. Ambitions:. DUI Drug and Marijuana DUI are becoming more frequent.  I also testify as an exprert.  In and effort to be better at both, I will attend an Advance Roadside Impaired Driving (ARIDE) course on Drug Recognition Exams (DRE's) which will help round out my DUID knowledge and expertise.  I will make these things happen, and continue on my goal to be the best DUI Criminal Defense Attorney.  Being a Top Rated Fresno DUI Defense Attorney takes a lot of effort, education, and desire.  I have those attributes and will continue to expand my education and hone my skills.
