John E. Moore, III graduated from Vero Beach High School and earned his undergraduate degree in accounting, with highest honors, from the University of Notre Dame in 1982. Following work as a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. in Dallas, Mr. Moore graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law. During law school he served as President of the Law School and was named the Outstanding Graduate in the Class of 1986. After a period of private practice in Washington, from 1991 to 1993 he served in a series of presidentially appointed positions within the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. His tenure saw service as Deputy Federal Housing Commissioner in which position his responsibilities included management of the national operations of the Federal Housing Administration.
