Katie is an experienced trial attorney, having worked with the Colorado State Public Defender for five years.  While serving as a public defender, Katie zealously represented hundreds of clients on many different types of criminal cases, in both misdemeanor and felony matters.  Katie is a skilled litigator who has garnered a vast amount of courtroom experience that allows her to effectively advocate for her clients, both in and out of the courtroom.. I have been practicing law in Northern Colorado since 2007. I have spent countless hours in the courtroom negotiation cases, litigating complex motions issues and going to trial. I have tried cases from all levels of traffic offenses to first-degree murder to complex property crimes. Chris began his legal career as a prosecutor in Burlington, Colorado, eventually being promoted to prosecuting felonies in four counties across Colorado’s eastern plains, as well as managing the Burlington branch of the district attorney’s office for Colorado’s 13th Judicial District. In 2001, Chris moved on to the district attorney’s office for the 19th Judicial District in Greeley, Colorado and specialized in the prosecution of domestic violence cases, drug crimes and crimes against children. In February 2004, Chris joined Collins | Liu, & Associates, L.L.P. as a partner. Chris primarily practices in criminal defense and has handled cases ranging from DUI, simple assaults, felony assaults, drug crimes and sexual assault to murder. Amanda Peek is a founding member of Peek Goldstone, LLC where she provides representation in family law, criminal defense, and estate planning for individuals and families in the Northern Colorado area and surrounding counties. Amanda received a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Colorado in Boulder. She obtained her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga School of Law, graduating cum laude. During law school, Amanda worked as a legal intern with the United States Attorney’s office for the Eastern District of Washington. Upon graduation, Amanda was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Kittitas County Washington. While passionate about her work as a prosecuting attorney, the draw of family and beautiful Colorado was strong, and she relocated back to Northern Colorado joining her father in practice at the Peek Law Firm in 2010.. Outside of the office, Amanda serves as a board member of Weld County Legal Services and is currently serving as the secretary of the organization. Amanda also serves on the Judicial Performance Commission for the Nineteenth Judicial District. Amanda has been actively involved in the Colorado Women’s Bar Association, serving as a board member for the Weld County Chapter of the organization. I began with the Colorado State Public Defender's Office, where I enjoyed more than 10 years as a Deputy State Public Defender.. In 2011, it was time to open my own practice, and the Stout Law Firm was born. I practice in the areas of Personal Injury, Consumer Protection, Worker's Compensation, and Criminal Defense.. I have been lead counsel in more than 150 jury trials and hudreds of trials to the court. I have argued in the appellate courts and the Colorado Supreme Court.. My very best days are ones I spend in court helping people to resolve their cases, whether that be through negotiation, mediation, ligiation, or trial.
