I was born in Hastings, Nebraska where I attended grade school at Wallace District 60 and high school at Adams Central. After graduating high school, I attended Hastings College and graduated in 2006 with a major in economics and minor in religion. After graduating from college, I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska with my significant other, Steph, where we both continued our education. I attended the MBA program at the University of Nebraska Lincoln while Steph completed her undergraduate degree in education. I was then accepted into law school at the University of Nebraska in 2009 and graduated in 2012. We moved back to Hastings in 2012 to practice law and for Steph to teach.. Steph and I currently live in downtown Hastings with our cat, Jack. We enjoy living within walking distance of restaurants and local businesses. Steph currently enjoys teaching algebra at Hastings Middle School.. In my free time, I enjoy jogging around Heartwell Park, playing guitar, cheering for the Huskers and hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.

I focus my practice on providing legal services to young married couples with one or more children. These services include estate planning, small business, and real estate. I am always willing to assist clients of all backgrounds accomplish their estate planning goals and take the mystery out of the planning process.. I also enjoy serving local farmers and agricultural businesses in a variety of business and estate planning areas. My practice specifically focuses on various leases, real estate transactions, and farm succession planning. I draw on my experience growing up on a farm south of Hastings to engage productively with farm clients in determining the best solutions to their legal issues.. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Creighton University and a Juris Doctor from the Creighton University School of Law. While at Creighton, I assisted in rebuilding the law school's client counseling and negotiation competitions as President of the competition board. My clinical experience in law school included drafting briefs for the Nebraska Court of Appeals, representing domestic violence victims, and forming numerous microenterprise limited liability companies.. After graduating, I worked for Sullivan Shoemaker, P.C., L.L.O. for 2 years. While at Sullivan Shoemaker, I worked on cases in a variety of legal areas, including estate planning, probate, real estate, business formation, contracts, civil litigation, and personal injury. In addition, I was appointed the City Attorney for the City of Blue Hill in February 2017.. I founded McM Law Office, L.L.C. in 2017.
