In 1986 he took and passed the New Hampshire Bar, and was also admitted to practice before the Federal District Courts in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. He has argued several cases before the New Hampshire Supreme Court. He is presently a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys, the American Association for Justice, the New Hampshire Bar Association and the New Hampshire Association for Justice as well as the Essex County Bar Association, and the Haverhill Bar Association.
