Mr. Koense is a member of the Delaware County, Chester County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations, and the Doris Jonas Freed Matrimonial Inns of Court.  As a member of the Family Law Section, Mr. Koense was co-chairman of the Protection From Abuse Committee for the Family Law Section of the Delaware County Bar Association (2001 to 2003); chair of the Technology Committee for the Family Law Section of the Delaware County Bar Association (2003 – 2006); Treasurer for the Family Law Section (2007-2009; 2012-present); Vice Chairperson for the Family Law Section (2010); and was the Chairperson of the Family Law Section (2011).. In addition to his commitment to the Delaware County Family Law Section, Mr. Koense is also actively involved with the Women’s Resource Center in Wayne, PA providing legal advice to women in need and organizing free legal seminars on divorce practice and procedure, as well as general divorce topics.. Mr. Koense graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware in 1993. He graduated from Widener University School of Law in 1997, and was the President of the Student Bar Association from 1996 -1997. He was awarded the Dean Arthur A. Weeks Award for Outstanding Service to the Law School in 1997.

I advise my clients on a rational course of action, counseling them to take into account all the factors involved in a given decision, to help them decide whether a given course of action is worth taking in the long run.. Having three children of my own helps me, as a Family Law attorney, to put things in perspective. My own motherhood helps me to sympathize with and serve my clients who are going through family problems such as custody and visitation of their children.
