The work of being a family lawyer and mediator is challenging and rewarding. The challenge is in working with people who are experiencing great emotional strain, financial anxiety, and uncertainty.  My goal is to use the skills gained through training and experience, along with a natural respect for people, to help clients achieve financial, family and emotional stability. The reward comes when I am able to guide clients to making good decisions about their legal situation and seeing them return to successful and happy lives post-divorce.  It happens!. In addition to loving my work, personal interests I enjoy including writing, bicycling, photography, boating, and singing in a rock band called Assisted Living. I'm blessed with three children who survived the crisis of divorce very well and still enjoy spending time with their Dad.

Attorney Christopher Sawin is the founder of Sawin Law, P.C., where he focuses his practice primarily on divorce, family law, estate administration and probate, estate planning, and veterans’ rights. He strives to deliver exceptional legal counsel with integrity and discretion. Christopher combines his legal experience, his negotiation skills, and reasoned decision-making abilities to provide zealous advocacy for his clients.Before founding Sawin Law, P.C., Christopher was a law clerk to Chief Justice John D. Casey of the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court. He also participated in the Suffolk Family Advocacy Clinic where he represented indigent families in the Greater Boston Area.Before earning his J.D. at Suffolk University Law School, Christopher served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was also aboard the USS Iwo Jima with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

After admission to the Massachusetts Bar in 2009, Renee began practicing family law and has practiced in that field ever since.  In 2013, Renee joined the David Kellem Law Group handling a variety of family law matters, primarily including divorce, child support, alimony, contempt, modification, parenting and paternity cases.  Renee most frequently appears in Plymouth, Norfolk, and Bristol County, and enjoys representing clients in court.  Renee applies her knowledge and experience to offer her clients well-reasoned advice and guidance.  She carefully considers how best to effectively represent each of her client's interests.  Whether it is negotiating a settlement or advocating a client's position in Court, Renee works diligently to provide her clients with thoughtful, strategic, representation. Renee is a member of numerous professional affiliations, including the Massachusetts Council on Family Mediation, Massachusetts Bar Association, Plymouth County Bar Association, Boston Bar Association and Senior Partners for Justice Volunteer Lawyers Program.  Renee frequently volunteers as the Lawyer of the Day in Norfolk County. She is also a trained mediator, licensed real estate broker and a Notary Public within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
