I represent and counsel clients in numerous areas of law (over 39 years) and serve as a Circuit Court Mediator (guiding parties to settlement of their litigation or insurance claims) (over 13 years). My extensive litigation experience, being "around the block" in the legal field, enhances my skills as a mediator, and my mediation training/experience enhances my skills as a legal advocate and counselor.. Please contact me for ANY type of legal issue or advice. You will be able to speak to me personally, usually within 24 hours of your call, if not immediately. Free consultations for personal injury, wrongful death, police brutality, criminal defense cases and some other matters, and reasonable consultation fees for commercial, employment, land use/zoning and general practice matters. If there is an issue that we don't handle, we most likely can refer you to another reputable lawyer who does.. I have represented clients in just about every type of court (civil, criminal, family, domestic violence, juvenile, probate, State, Federal, trial, appellate, etc.), as well as before many county and municipal boards and Federal, State, and local administrative agencies (such as zoning boards, code enforcement, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board, Fla. Public Employees Relations Commission, and Fla. Division of Administrative Hearings).. We believe that our clients deserve our personal and timely attention. We communicate with our clients to address their concerns and keep them informed on the progress of their matter. Our clients depend on us to aggressively pursue their goals, leaving no stone unturned. Whether in the courtroom or in our research, pleadings, and discovery (search for information), we strive to find ways to best advance the client’s cause.. ***The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision and should not be based solely upon advertisements. Before you decide, ask me about my qualifications and experience.***

During my years as a prosecutor (2005-2008) I prosecuted individuals accused of crimes in Miami-Dade County. Following one hard fought jury trial, with no eyewitnesses, I got a conviction in a murder case previously featured in ‘The First 48’ episode ‘House of Blood/Last Man Standing.’ In 2008, I began private practice as a criminal defense attorney. I successfully obtained dozens of acquittals following jury trials, including murder, rape, robbery, and other complex, serious felony charges. A number of my cases have been featured in local and even national news reports. In 2016, I joined a boutique plaintiffs law firm as the in-house litigator, litigating serious and complex matters, and I assisted clients in recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal injury and homeowner insurance cases.. In 2018 I became the founding attorney in DeMiles Law, bringing years of litigation and trial experience in both a criminal and civil setting to a boutique litigation practice.
