Teunis is a Board Member (Secretary) for Mount Adams Resource Stewards (MARS), a non-profit association that is acquiring forestland to actively manage as a community resource, for the resoration of rural economy, and to provide recreation and conservation opportunities.  Locatedin Glenwood on the southeastern flank of Mt Adams, MARS acquired the first community forest land in Washinton State and is looking to expand its holdings by an addition 2500 acres in the near future..
