Before joining the Ogg Law Firm, Scott served as a law clerk with McFall, Breitbeil & Smith.  He joined the Ogg Law Firm in 2008 and entered into his association as Of Counsel to the Firm in 2009.. While attending South Texas College of Law, Scott founded the School of Rights of Kids (ROK) Program.  The purpose of the Program was to teach high school students about various aspects of the law.  Scott applied for and received a grant from the Houston Young Lawyers Foundation to assist with financial support for the ROK Program.. During his junior year at Southwestern University, Scott participated in an archeological program sponsored by Bilkent University located in Ankara, Turkey.  While digging in Turkey, he met his future wife Derya, and they were married in 2008.  They now enjoy traveling to Turkey at regular intervals.. Scott remains actively involved in the Iota Chapter of Kappa Sigma Fraternity at Southwestern, one of the oldest continually active fraternities in the State of Texas (Est. 1886).. A graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, Mr. Broemer practices primarily  in the areas of labor and employment law, employee benefits (ERISA) litigation, ERISA plan design/compliance issues, general corporate law, and risk management. Mr. Broemer represents primarily employers, employee welfare benefit plans, third party administrators, plan reinsurers, local government plans and corporate clients. Mr. Broemer is also a leading member of the ABA's Labor and Employment Law Section and Employee Benefits Committee ("ABA-EBC"), as well as a contributing member of Sub-Committees on Welfare Benefits Plans, Federal Civil Procedure, and ERISA Preemption. Mr. Broemer has served in the past as the Management Chair of the ABA-EBC's Sub-Committees on Employee Benefits Claims, Ethics, and regional continuing legal education programs on ERISA.  Mr. Broemer is an editor and contributing author of the ABA's comprehensive text "Employee Benefits Law" and a speaker at various ABA and private seminars on Employee Benefits and ERISA litigation.
