Mr. Valdez is a native of Las Vegas, Nevada, and is a licensed attorney in both California and Nevada.  He earned a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 1991, and his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law in 1999.. He was an associate attorney for a civil litigation law firm focusing on landlord-tenant/habitability lawsuits throughout Southern California.  Eleven years ago, he undertook the duty of opening the firm’s immigration law practice, and in 2008, he opened the Valdez Law Firm.  Mr. Valdez’s practice is primarily focused on immigration law – specifically removal defense before the Executive Office of Immigration Review, appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals and the U.S. Court of Appeals, family based applications, asylum and citizenship.. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the Latin American Immigration Association.  He frequently lectures on immigration law, and maintains three law offices in Los Angeles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada.  Mr. Valdez is a member of the California and Nevada Bars.
