Eric D. Tindal was born in Iowa City, Iowa and was raised in Kalona, Iowa.   While still in high school Eric joined the United States Army Reserves and he served until 1999.  While in the military Eric was trained as a Combat Medic and a Respiratory Specialist.  From the age of 19 until graduating from law school Eric worked in the intensive care units at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Eric also worked for several years at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa and Washington County Hospital in Washington, Iowa.  This experience proved to be invaluable in working with injured clients and with expert witnesses.. Eric graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in May 2000 and started the practice of law in September of that year.  Eric was a founding member of the law firm Saylor and Tindal; and a founding member of the firm Nidey Erdahl Tindal & Fisher, PLC.  During that time Eric practiced in a broad spectrum of areas including but not limited to Criminal Defense in State and Federal Courts, Real Estate, Probate, Workers Compensation, Personal Injury, Tax and Appeals.  Eric has had the privilege of representing clients in dozens of jury trials in state and federal court.  This has included representation in various serious felony offenses including Murder in the First Degree.  The Iowa Bar Association requested that Eric teach new lawyers in Iowa about Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure.  Eric is one of 15 attorneys approved as a Criminal Justice Act (CJA) attorney in the Southern District of Iowa, Davenport Division.  Eric has also argued before the Supreme Court of Iowa, the Iowa Court of Appeals, and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.. In 2017 Eric elected to focus his practice in the area of criminal defense, workers compensation, and personal injury.  The Law Office of J. Connie was born in Clarinda, Iowa, but grew up in Rock Island, Illinois.  She graduated from Rock Island Senior High School in 1969, and attended college in Illinois, graduating in 1973.  Prior to attending law school as a non-traditional student, Connie was licensed as a teacher in both Illinois and Iowa.  She taught children with special education needs (Learning Disabilities) in both states at the elementary level, first in Dubuque, Iowa and then back in her hometown o Rock Island, Illinois.  She moved back to Iowa in 1982 to attend law school, graduating with her JD in 1985.  She passed the bar and began working as a law clerk for the judges of the Sixth Judicial District of Iowa for two years.  She then began the active practice of law, gradually shifting from general practice to one geared mainly to family law.. Connie has taken an active interest in issues surrounding domestic violence, child custody, and paternity.  She has taken the 40 hour course in family law mediation and is able to negotiate settlements as well as try cases in court.  Every family is unique and she likes to search for individual solutions to complex family cases.  She has taken several cases on appeal to the Iowa Court of Appeals and the Iowa Supreme Court.  Some rulings are published in full, others are not reported in the North West Reporter.. Connie resides in Coralville and enjoys reading and acting in community theatre.
