Nancy L. Choate. Nancy obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University School of Law in 1987. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, (Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Probate sections), National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and the Madison County Bar Association. Nancy has received a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating of AV Preeminent from her fellow lawyers. She is also a Master of the American Inn of Court, Jackson, Tennessee chapter, a legal mentoring organization dedicated to achieving higher levels of excellence and furthering the practice of law with dignity and integrity. Nancy is a frequent speaker on the subject of Estate Planning and Probate and Elder Law to senior adults and other select groups as well as business and financial professionals.. In her current practice Ms. Arnold provides legal advice in the area of elder law, including wills and trusts, estate planning, long-term care planning, and estate administration including probate.  She also handles guardian and conservator matters.  Other practice areas include business, and real property including landlord-tenant matters. Ms. Arnold is also a regular speaker and trainer on those topics. Attorney Arnold holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning from Michigan State University, and graduated with her Juris Doctor in 2008 from Western Michigan Universities Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Prior to starting her own practice Ms. Arnold was an Associate Attorney at with a boutique elder law firm, and a supervising attorney with a statewide legal aid agency. When she isn't practicing law, Ms. Arnold enjoys volunteering with several local non-profit organizations and spending time with her family including her husband, two children, three dogs, and three cats.
