I was born in the State of New York, but grew up in Northeast Tennessee.  I graduated from Sullivan East High School and joined the United States Marine Corps where I served with distinction and after receiving an honorable discharge in 1998 I returned home to pursue my education.  I am a graduate of Northeast State Technical Community College and East Tennessee State University and hold an Associate Degree in General Studies and a Baccalaureate of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science. In 2004 I was admitted to the Appalachian School of Law where I received multiple awards in legal writing, I was on the dean’s list, and I graduated in the top 25% of my class.. After serving the public in the Office of the Public Defender for Sullivan county and solo practice I joined The Senter Law Firm, pc, in 2015 as an associate attorney. I practice Construction law, Personal Injury, Divorce, Child Custody, Adoption, Guardian Ad Litem, Criminal Law, and Juvenile Law, and I am licensed in Tennessee and Virginia as well as the Federal Courts in Tennessee and Virginia.

I view my role as listener, advisor, and counselor. I particularly enjoy learning my client’s business and becoming a member of the “team.” Whether working together to negotiate a contract or lease, limit liability, create policies and procedures, document an arrangement, create an entity, deal with an agency, or manage a human resources question, my goal is to serve the client’s needs.I enjoy the challenge of assisting the business with legal questions. Often, there is a better resolution that allows the parties to retain autonomy and limit expense. My most satisfying results have been achieved behind closed doors without fanfare. However, we are always ready to litigate when a matter must be handled that way, and we pride ourselves on preparation and results.
