Most people who meet me know me as a husband and father of two daughters.  I'm a "dance dad" and softball coach, who likes to work hard fighting for my clients.  I also love to exercise.  I started going to CrossFit in March of 2016 and have lost over 70 pounds.  I also happen to be a highly reviewed attorney in the area, as well as the recipient of several honors, incuding being named a “Rising Star” attorney by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine, a designation limited to less than 2.5% of lawyers under 40 years of age in the State of Illinois and as an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers and recently the firm was named by U.S. News & World Report as one of the best law firms in 2017.. I have spent my career practicing law in courtrooms and Illinois Workers' Compensation settings throughout Illinois, including Chicago, Dupage, Kane, Kendall, Will, Grundy and many more counties.  When I am not busy fighting for the rights of my clients, you can usually find me supporting my daughters at a dance competition or coaching softball.   I love coaching softball as it gives me the opportunity to teach the girls the proper way to play the game as well as pass on my knowledge as a former collegiate baseball player at North Central College, Go Cardinals!  If I am not doing one of the above you can find me working hard at the gym.. I also have a typical attorney story as well, I am a 2008 graduate of the Hamline University School of Law (after attending North Central College for undergraduate work).  Since that time my practice area has been exclusively workers' compensation and personal injury.  I concentrate my practice on representing those who are injured by others.

Mike has been an attorney since age 22. For most of his career he has handled complex catastrophic personal injury and worker's compensation cases. He currently serves on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Civil Jury Instructions, and on the Board of Managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He also served over 11 years on the Board of the American Trial Lawyer's Association, now American Association for Justice. He has published on topics which vary from admission of positron emission tomography scans in traumatic brain injury cases  and immune consequences of chlordane exposure to using experts in construction site accident cases. He has served on the Illinois State Bar Political Action Committee and various other boards or committees. He has also taught at The John Marshall Law School. He is married 35 years and has three grown children.
