Jennifer Hosp was born in Aurora, Colorado. After graduating from high school, Ms. Hosp attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri, where she majored in International Business and Spanish. She studied abroad during the summer of 2011 in Ecuador and during the summer of 2013 in China. She graduated cum laude in December of 2013. In 2015, Ms. Hosp moved to Fayetteville, Arkansas to study law at the University of Arkansas School of Law. She excelled in her studies, joining the Arkansas Law Review and National Appellate Advocacy Competition moot court team.. During law school, Ms. Hosp served as President of the Women’s Law Student Association for two years. She also competed in the National Appellate Advocacy Competition as a brief writer for two consecutive years. During the 2016-2017 academic year, her team won the Best Brief award at the regional competition in Washington, D.C. The following year, her team was one of four from the New York regional competition that advanced to the national competition in Washington, D.C. Additionally, Ms. Hosp served as the Symposium Editor for the Arkansas Law Review for the 2017-2018 academic year. In May of 2018, Ms. Hosp graduated cum laude and received the M. Jeff Starling Award – Labor and Employment Law and the W.B. Putnam American Inn of Court Pupil Award.. After graduating from law school, Ms. Hosp returned home to Joplin, Missouri to begin her career. Ms. Hosp advocates for victims of wrongful conduct by representing plaintiffs in automobile accident and trucking litigation, personal injury, premises liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death lawsuits. In 2007, he spoke at the Kansas Trial Lawyers of America about creating dynamic "Opening Statements" and "Wooden's Pyramid of Success." In 2007, Mr. Hershewe served on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Court as well as the APITLAmerica National Advisory Board.. Mr. Hershewe continued to speak on issues facing injured Plaintiffs throughout 2008, presenting at the Springfield Metro Bar Association on "Plaintiffs' Case Themes That Work Today," "Convincing Arguments on Damages," for the American Association of Justice, and "Damages in Interstate Trucking," for APITLAmerica. He then lectured on developing a civil case for trial for the Missouri Bar: "Discovery: Unearthing the Heart of the Case," and discussed "Closing Arguments: Demonstration & Jury Deliberations," for the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys.. Additionally, Mr. Hershewe is the co-author of Chapter 6, "Pretrial Discovery Motions," in the Missouri Products Liability Handbook, published by UM at Kansas City, School of Law. He was also co-contributor to the supplement to Chapter 62 of Averbach, "Handling Accident Cases," published by Lawyers Co-Op. Co-Editor, Missouri Courts Bulletin.. In 2008, Mr. Hershewe was honored with the Thomas G. Strong Trial Attorney Award, an award that is bestowed upon only one attorney per year. The recipient must best exemplify the qualities of professionalism, ethics, character, and courtroom success. That same year, Mr. Hershewe received the APITLAmerica Life Member Award, and the APITLAmerica National Achievement Award.
