My background, experience and practice are unique and diverse.  My legal experience spans nearly thirty years and I have tried many cases, both jury and non-jury.  I am also a pharmacist and practiced in that profession for a number of years before entering the practice of law.  My current practice focuses on all aspects of commercial, business, real estate and general civil litigation.  I am also available for mediation and arbitration services.  My experience and knowledge base is quite broad.  In addition to complex commercial contract and tort litigation, I am also experienced in the areas of employment law, natural resources litigation, lender liability litigation, chemical and drug product liability litigation, pharmacy law issues and intellectual property litigation.  I have served as lead trial counsel in all of those practice areas.  I have also served as lead counsel and has been admitted pro hac vice in cases in Wyoming, Colorado, Texas and California.  I am admitted to practice law before all courts in Montana and North Dakota; the United States District Courts for the Districts of Montana, North Dakota and Colorado; the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Mark has a broad based practice and has represented individuals and businesses in a variety of transactional and litigation matters. His practice areas include real estate, land use, trusts and estates, business, and construction law. Mark has represented several businesses on a wide array of legal issues, including formation and acquisition, exit strategy, dissolution, partnership disputes and buy-outs, commercial litigation, contract negotiation, and employment issues.. Mark received his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Utah State University, and his Juris Doctorate (with distinction) from the University of Nebraska College of Law. Mr. Buckwalter is a member of the Montana State Bar Association, Nebraska State Bar Association, Idaho State Bar Association and Northwest Montana Bar Association. Mark also holds a Montana Real Estate Salesperson license, and has taught several continuing education courses to realtors on topics such as construction liens, landlord-tenant law, and entity formation.. In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time with his growing family, fly-fishing, hunting, and enjoying the natural wonders of Montana. Mark has also served as the President of the Flathead Area Young Professionals, an Ex-Officio Board Member of the Kalispell Chamber of Commerce, and is currently the Committee Chair for Troop 1935 of the Boy Scouts of America..
