If you are facing criminal prosecution in Las Vegas, whoever you are and whatever the accusations, I can help you.. I have years of hard-earned experience defending criminal cases that range in seriousness from simple misdemeanors to felonies that carry life sentences. I have handled every kind of criminal charge, from drugs to violence to theft and fraud and everything in between. I defend clients from start to finish, from police investigation and arrest to formal charges all the way through trial and sentencing. But I am willing to jump in and take over cases at any point, sometimes on the eve of trial.. I defend a diverse range of clients, from Las Vegas natives to visitors from across the United States and Canada and all across the world. I represent clients with spotless records who are terrified of jail as well as multiple time felons who have done hard time and are hoping for a lucky break. I have represented active duty military who made drunken mistakes and veterans who have trouble adapting to civilian life. I represent people in the wrong place at the wrong time, people who fell in with the wrong crowd, people who made an impulsive decision with serious consequences, people with psychological disorders and physical impairments, and people addicted to drugs or gambling. I represent people who admitted they were caught red-handed and people who are completely innocent. I represent men and women of every race, religion, sexual orientation, age, political affiliation, education level, and economic status. I find it easy to connect with almost anyone and any client. And I recognize that different clients have different needs and priorities.. I value creativity and the ability to adapt, so I am always looking for creative solutions and I vary my style and tactics based on the circumstances of each case. I am a skilled negotiator and an experienced trial attorney, so I can quickly work out favorable deals in most cases, but if negotiations fail, I am willing and able to fight tenaciously to win your trial. I am aggressive when I need to be and don’t tolerate unfair treatment of my clients, but I maintain good professional relationships in the criminal defense community and avoid burning bridges. I don’t waste time with ineffective arguments or pick petty fights with opposing counsel, but I have no problem being the bad guy when I need to be. I will not be polite at the expense of being thorough, and I will not treat a false accuser like a victim.. I give honest advice based on a careful evaluation of each case, and I can predict the likely outcome of many cases. No two cases are exactly alike, but your charges aren’t new to me and neither are the facts of your case. Whoever your prosecutor is, I’ve probably worked opposite him on dozens if not hundreds of cases, some just like yours. Whoever your judge is, I’ve most likely appeared in his court more times than I can accurately estimate. So while there are no guarantees, if you give me complete and accurate information about your case, I can tell you what results we can achieve. I won’t try to scare you by overstating the worst case scenario, but I won’t promise you unrealistic results either.. I am proud of my successes as a criminal defense attorney. I routinely negotiate quick and favorable deals to keep my clients’ records clean. I have won not guilty verdicts in some very tough cases. I have gotten more charges dismissed than I can remember. I’ve saved countless men and women from prison. If you are my client, I will use all of my talent, skill, and experience to get your charges dismissed or get you acquitted, or to work out a deal that keeps your record clean without you ever setting foot in a courtroom. Even if the evidence against you is strong and the charges are serious, I will work every angle to get you the best outcome possible and keep you out of jail or prison if I can.. Criminal charges are very stressful for defendants and their loved ones, and one of the greatest sources of stress is the fear of the unknown. So I take time to answer my clients’ questions about their charges and the criminal law process and then I explain my plan to achieve the result we want. I am always happy when I complete an initial consultation and a potential client tells me that I made her feel less worried about the future.. I tell clients that no matter what their charges are, the only way to handle their case is to take things one step at a time. The consultation is always the first step. Call me now to take that first step. The rest is mostly up to me. As I often tell my clients when they are feeling overwhelmed, I have gotten a lot of people out of a lot of trouble. So I can help you too.
I've been practicing for over 30 years. I have handled virtually every type of criminal case. I won a case in front of the United States Supreme Court. I was able to get a death sentence reversed, I have represented several lawyers and Dr's on DUI cases. None of my lawyer and/or Dr. clients have ever been convicted of a DUI. I also represented a Dr on a sexual assault case and had it dismissed.. I then represented a Dr. that was accused of murder for allegedly casuing a patient overdose that resulted in , with several experts,I was able to show this was not was able to convince the Clark County Coroner to chenge his opinion, which is almost unheard of. Finally I was able to get his murder case dismissed with prejudice, which means the state can never file another murder case based on these facts.. I've lectured at many seminars,in Nevada and several other states teaching other laywers how to practice law. I am also very active in the Nevada stae bar the antional association of Criminal Defense lawyers and the Stae Affliate, the Nevada Attorneys for Criminal Justice, (WhichI helped found). I was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the core of my practice is a simple belief: everyone deserves a fair chance. My goal is to bring hope and dignity to every case, no matter how bleak it may seem.
I was 7 years old when I decided to be a lawyer. President Nixon had just resigned and I asked my grandpa about it. He told me the Supreme Court sent him to bed without his dinner because he had been naughty. I decided being a Supreme Coiurt Justice sounded like a pretty great gig and that's how I decided I wanted to be a lawyer.. I took the long way around to being a lawyer, though. I spent 15 years as a newspaper report and then a few as a private investigator. Both those jobs gave me a healthy insight to how the criminal justice system worked, how it didn't work and what folks embroiled in the criminal justice system needed from lawyers.. Every person charged with an offense deserves strong, tough and compassionate legal representation. A client is never just a number to me. I want to know about them, how they found themselves in this situation, what they need to get back on the right track. Every client is somone's child and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect and kindness. That's my promise: you will be treated with diginity, respect and kindness always.
I provide representation for a variety of legal matters including criminal and personal injury related cases. If you have been charged with a drug crime, DUI, juvenile matter or any other criminal offense then you should call the office and speak with me about your best possible legal options.
