While in law school, Bryce served as law clerk for Hagood, Tarpy, & Cox where he gained invaluable knowledge from some of Knoxville’s premier civil litigators. After being admitted to practice law, Bryce was hired as an associate attorney with Tarpy, Cox, Fleishman, & Leveille. During that time, he represented financial institutions, negotiated transactions, resolved and litigated contract disputes, drafted estate planning documents, and probated estates.. Bryce was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee where he grew up playing sports, enjoying the outdoors and passionately cheering for the Vols. While earning his BA in Political Science from the University of Tennessee, Bryce served as a strength and conditioning coach for UT football and baseball and was head of strength and conditioning at the Christian Academy of Knoxville. Thereafter, Bryce earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Lincoln Memorial University School of Law.

Prior to joining The Lawyers of Brown and Roberto, I practiced law in Nashville where I gained experience in employment discrimination claims, personal injury claims, will contests and breach of contract claims.  I served as a judicial law clerk in the Tennessee Supreme Court.  While practicing law in the Court, I assisted the Justices of the Court with complex legal research in the drafting of Court opinions.  Before I became a lawyer, I served for four years as a policy advisor to Governor Phil Bredesen.. I am a Knoxville native. I graduated from Farragut High School where I captained the Cross Country Team. From there I went on to earn my Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Tennessee and graduated Cum Laude. I also earned a Master of Arts in Philosophy from UT and my Juris Doctor from the Nashville School of Law.. In my free time, I still enjoy running, hiking the Smokies and traveling.  The thing that I enjoy most about practicing law with The Lawyers of Brown & Roberto is the opportunity that I have to help others.

Born in Columbus, MS, Martin Ellis attended the University of the South, Sewanee, TN (B.S., 1973) and the University of Tennessee (J.D., 1978) and was admitted to the bar in 1978 and admitted to the United States Supreme Court in 2003. Memberships include the Knoxville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association (member of the General Practice section, Tort and Insurance Practice section), Tennessee Defense Lawyer's Association, Defense Research Institute (Transportation Committee and Trucking Sub-Committee), and American Bar Association. He is certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization and by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed mediator in state and federal courts. He has spoken on numerous occasions on medical malpractice issues, truck litigation, and issues relating to sexual harassment. Mr. Ellis was selected as a member of a National Trial Team for a product manufacturer resulting in trials in Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kansas, and Missouri.   Mr. Ellis has received an AV rating with Martindale-Hubbell, which identifies lawyers with a very high to preeminent legal ability, indicating they demonstrate the highest professional and ethical standards.  Mr. Ellis was admitted to the Supreme Court of the United States of America in 2003.
