Weldon E. Patterson was born in Harlan, Kentucky. He attended Tennessee Technological University (B.S., 1984), and The University of Tennessee (M.S., 1986; J.D., with Honors, 1988), and was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1989. Ryan N. Shamblin, originally a native of Miami, Florida, moved to Blount County, Tennessee in the mid 1980’s where he attended and graduated with honors from William Blount High School.
