Tracy has settled over $350 million in catastrophic injury lawsuits, managed and mediated hundreds of cases, selected juries of whose verdicts exceeded $50 million, and when she served as Managing Partner of the firm, she very successfully managed this multi-million dollar law firm, its employees and operations for over 10 years. As a result, the firm has been named in the Top 50 trial law firms multiple times in recent years and named one of the Top 12 Plaintiff Injury Firms in the United States by the National Law Journal 2014.. Tracy’s skill, strategy, and tenacity in preparing cases help position her clients to obtain the highest value in settlements and verdicts. Her professional growth has landed her in the position of Lead Negotiator at her firm. She has solely negotiated hundreds of product defect and general negligence cases, with settlements totaling over $350 million. Some notable settlements include $6 million due for spine injuries received on defective arcade equipment, $7.5 million for spine injuries received in an auto accident, and $1.9 million as a result of a buffet food poisoning. In addition, she co-negotiated one of Nevada’s largest product settlements against one of the world’s biggest drug companies. Her strong affinity for product defect litigation came about early in her career after she effected nationwide change in the design of a manufacturing machine that seriously injured her client’s arm while he was on-the-job.. Tracy genuinely cares about her clients and strives to fight for each and every client to help them get their life back and this is clearly demonstrated in the amount of time and effort she devotes to every case. Tracy is the first to admit that she is part of a team and that she is only as good as the people beside her. She has structured Eglet Adams around this concept, this corporate culture, which enables her firm to fight and prevail against some of the largest, most reputable law firms in the world.. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tracy designed her former office space that received both state and national award recognition and recently designed the firm’s new office space at the Robert T. Eglet Advocacy Center, a 46,000 sq. ft. building in the downtown Las Vegas area, which opened in January 2014. Tracy was instrumental in the design of this building from the ground up which includes sustainable features such as energy and water-efficient construction and electric car charging stations in the parking structure. The Robert T. Eglet Advocacy Center was awarded the 2015 Spotlight Awards for Office Building of the Year by the NAIOP Southern Nevada Chapter, a chapter of NAIOP, the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, which is the leading organization for developers, owners and professionals of office, industrial, retail and mixed-use real estate.. With grants, loans, and jobs she put herself through college, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science at Canisius College in New York and her Doctor of Law (J.D.) Degree at Ohio Northern University. Rather than landing a job at a major law firm, she instead decided to go into practice on her own, a very rare thing for a young woman fresh out of law school but she did it, and excelled. She opened her solo law practice in Columbus, Ohio in 1993 and remained a successful one-woman firm, fighting for her clients as a solo practitioner until she moved to Las Vegas in 1996 where she has been ever since.. Tracy is licensed to practice in Nevada, Ohio, the Federal Courts of Nevada and Ohio as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. The Wright Law Group, P.C., is an AV Rated “Preeminent” litigation law firm located in Las Vegas, Nevada, that represents businesses and individuals in disputes concerning construction contracts, real estate, and other commercial dealings. The firm’s clients include general and specialty contractors, real estate investors and other small businesses in disputes and controversies generally surrounding breach of contract claims or business to business torts such as interference and unfair trade practices. The firm also concentrates on defending and representing contractors and applicants, throughout the State, before the Nevada State Contractors Board and other administrative and regulatory bodies such as Manufactured Housing, Southern Nevada Health District, Department of Air Quality, and others.. Mr. Wright has been litigating cases for over thirty years. He began his professional life out of law school by clerking for a judge in Honolulu’s felony trial level court. Soon after finishing his clerkship, he began his solo practice by taking on indigent criminal defense cases as a court - appointed defense attorney. This gave him immediate and early exposure to the courtroom, handling serious felonies of all classes and types against much more senior prosecutors. Unlike most attorneys of his age and tenure at the time, being a solo practitioner, John had complete autonomy over his case strategy which also meant he had to learn his craft on the job and by seeking out mentors from the seasoned defense lawyers he had watched as a law clerk. This early education, which lasted several years, served to form the way he continues to practice today – preparing harder than the opposition, expecting the unexpected and never underestimating the opponent.. As court-appointed work wouldn’t’ pay all the bills, John also began taking on another type of caseload handed down by his retiring stepfather – government procurement litigation. Representing government contractors in construction claims for additional compensation or defending them from wrongful termination of their contracts. This quickly led to representing contractors in all types of situations including private contract disputes and what he focusses primarily on today- representing contractors in disputes with other owners, other contractors, and regulatory bodies.. Handling these two seemingly divergent areas of law has led John to be the rare recipient of an AV “Preeminent” peer rating by Martindale & Hubble in both Commercial Litigation and Criminal Defense – the highest rating awarded by one’s peers in the community. This unique experience brings together different key skill sets- the ability to think on your feet under pressure and the discipline it takes to plan and execute complex, detailed oriented and oftentimes highly technical cases.. John relocated to Las Vegas and began practicing in Nevada in the late 1990s and continues to handle the same types of cases. Today, John’s practice focusses on representing contractors in legal disputes- civil, administrative, and criminal. This means contract review, filing and defending breach of contract claims, mechanic’s liens, bid protests and defending regulatory investigations from the Nevada State Contractors Board and the Manufactured Housing Division. This also means being able to competently defend criminal accusations surrounding contracting such as: acting without a license, fraud, theft or violating safety regulations.. John’s depth of knowledge and extensive practice has led him to handle upwards of 150 cases before the Nevada and Hawaii Supreme Courts as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals- oftentimes at the request of other law firms. Since 2001, John has presided over hundreds of cases as an arbitrator, and has served as a Short Trial Pro Tempore Judge in Clark County since 2007. John has also completed Mediator training offered by the National Judicial College.. Attorney John Henry Wright has over 30 years of commercial litigation experience and industry knowledge to offer clients in Nevada. Call to arrange a consultation.

Summer is a voracious reader because of her father, her primary caretaker with his flexible schedule as a small business owner. She also got her passion for sports and politics from her father. But Summer received the best advice on how to be a good parent from her mother: just be a role model.
SUMMARY. For over 20 years I specialized in Nevada business entity formations and operations, as a tax attorney and shareholder in the Las Vegas office of Lionel Sawyer & Collins. When LSC dissolved in 2014, I continued to practice in drafting and negotiating operating agreements for Nevada partnerships and limited liability companies, that clearly set forth the expectations of the parties regarding their share of the risks and benefits of a venture's financial performance and taxation.. Before switching to the legal field, I was an aeronautical engineer with the US Air Force. I worked on developing flight simulators for fighter pilot training, first at an Air Force base near my hometown in Ohio, then at a base outside of Phoenix, Arizona. During the time in Phoenix I also attended Arizona State University, earning an MBA and Ph.D. that researched the underlying theories and value of technical trading methods for stock investments (tip: buy high, sell higher).. I attended UCLA law school from 1986 to 1989, where I was an editor on the UCLA Law Review. After graduation I joined the Los Angeles office of Skadden Arps as a litigation attorney. I handled depositions and drafted motions in complex financial litigation matters, including defense of claims by a group of Japanese banks regarding massive student loan servicing defaults. Along the way I also acquired credentials as a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Analyst.. EXPERIENCE. I joined Lionel Sawyer & Collins in 1994 as an associate after completing the LL.M. (masters in taxation) program at New York University, and became a shareholder in 2000. My practice was grounded in taxation, financial issues, and business entity formation/selection advice. I also act as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA, formerly NASD) regarding broker customer claims of unsuitable investments and churning.. I have been responsible for hundreds of LLC operating agreements and partnership agreements. On several occasions clients have appreciated being advised of provisions drafted by their venture partners that could, under certain scenarios, produce economic or tax results contrary to their understandings from the oral business deal. Noticing and resolving those issues early helped avoided later disputes and expensive litigation.. PERSONAL INTERESTS. Outside the office I can be found looking for the best pizza in Las Vegas, or playing in national poker and bridge tournaments.. RECENT PUBLICATIONS. I have authored legal and financial journal articles, including "The Trader's Edge" published in Barron's, comparing the curious taxation of investors, traders, sports professionals, gamblers and criminal activities (tip: be a golf pro if you can; or a criminal; but never a gambler). Most recently, an article in Nevada Lawyer, "Tips on TIPS," described the unusual taxation of inflation-protected Treasury securities.. "Tips on TIPS," Nevada Lawyer (April 2014). "The Trader's Edge," Barron's National Business and Financial Weekly (March 31, 2008). "Allocations of Profits and Distributions in Partnership/LLC Agreements: A Trap for the Unwary (and Sometimes the Wary)," Communique (March 2006). EDUCATION. Law: New York University School of Law, LL.M. (May 1994). UCLA School of Law, J.D. (May 1989). Finance: Arizona State University, MBA (August 1981), Ph.D. (May 1985).
