Since 1980 I have specialized in the area of civil appeals and writs. Isuccessfully passed the second exam given by the State Bar forcertification as an appellate specialist in 1999. Not only do I handleappeals, but I am a frequent lecturer and author on appellate love the intellectual challenge of working on appeals! I also spent many years working on law and motion matters on aconsulting basis for other attorneys. My book, California SummaryJudgment and Related Termination Motions, is now published by TheRutter Group. If that wasn't enough, I spent over five years as theeditor of several legal magazines for plaintiff's lawyers, includingPlaintiff, The Advocate, The Forum, and The Gavel. After more than 30 years of practicing law and editing legal magazines,I am trying to expand my interests to more creative pursuits.
