I then attended law school at the University of Denver. In 1999, I moved to Washington D.C. and started my legal career with the United States Department of Justice, Tax Division, Western Criminal Enforcement Section as a federal prosecutor handling cases across the western half of the United States. I gained a thorough knowledge of the inner workings of the IRS and gained expertise in criminal tax matters. I have taken that knolwedge combined with my experience as a certified public accountant and have used it in private practice since 2004 to assist taxpayers with all types of tax issues including audits, collection matters, employment tax/trust fund issues, voluntary disclousres, offshore bank disclosures, offers in compromise, innocent spouse, identify theft, penalty abatements, tax appeals and U.S. Tax Court cases. I have also represented many criminal clients and witnesses in criminal tax investigations and criminal tax prosecutions.. My partner and I also represent the Jefferson County Health Department and Board of Health so I have expertise in environmental and public health issues.. When I am not assisting clients, I am busy as a mom of three and find myself splitting my time between youth baseball fields, swim meets and dance studios.
