Firm: Neeman & Mills, PLLC

Workers' Compensation, Personal Injury, and Family Law Attorney Jeffrey Neeman, Esq. has been practicing law in Las Vegas, Nevada since 2000.  In 2001, Mr. Neeman along with his partner Jason Mills, Esq. founded the Neeman & Mills law firm.. Jeffrey Neeman was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. As a good Jewish boy from Brooklyn, he was destined to become a doctor or a lawyer. After much self-reflection and realization of his passion to argue (and being slightly stubborn), Jeffrey set his sights on law school. However, the path to become a lawyer would begin a journey that saw him travel the world and realize his other passion - world travel. Jeffrey moved from Brooklyn, NY to Denver, Colorado, to attend the University of Denver as a political science major.  After 2 years, Jeffrey transferred to the University of Arizona, where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree. Jeffrey then attended California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. While pursuing his law degree, Jeffrey joined the law school’s many Appellate competitions and teams, winning several advocacy awards. In 1999, Jeffrey earned a Juris Doctorate law degree and became licensed to practice law in the State of California. Afterward, Jeffrey moved to Las Vegas to pursue his legal career. In 2000, Jeffrey obtained his license to practice law in Nevada and began his professional legal career.. Jeffrey began his employment at the prestigious Lionel, Sawyer & Collins law firm. Thereafter, he worked for a short time with Glen J. Lerner and Associates. Afterward, Jeffrey joined with Jason Mills to form the Neeman & Mills law firm. From the start, Jeffrey advocated for the rights of the injured, representing them in all facets of their personal injury case. However, he also began representing clients in family law matters, such as divorce, and child custody. Since that time, Jeffrey has handled many personal injury and family law cases and has developed a reputation as a fierce advocate for his clients.. Jeffrey is in a committed relationship and enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and their two dogs – Kyla (the sweetest golden retriever that ever lived) and Jessie (a very energetic Australian Shepard).  Recreationally, Jeffrey enjoys world travel, working out and spending time with his family.

After prosecuting, Melissa realized her passion for working in the private sector protecting the rights and liberties of people involved in both criminal and civil litigation. I practice primarily personal injury, representing over 2,500 injury clients over 17 years of practice with tens of millions of dollars in damages recovered. I love being in trial and have completed over 35 trials to jury verdict or judicial decision. I am a lifetime member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum for attorneys who have settled a case with a value over $2,000,000.. I have handled various appeals before the Nevada Supreme Court, Nevada Court of Appeals, the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.. I have resolved dozens of plaintiff-side employment discrimination claims for race, gender, sexual harassment, disability and retaliation, along with civil rights claims against the government. I have represented over 1,000 criminal defense matters including DUI, domestic violence, drug charges, sexual assault and white collar crimes.. While I am not accepting bankruptcy cases at this time, from 2009-2023 I had one of the most active bankruptcy practices in Nevada. I also spent several years practicing in copyright and trademark infringement litigation, commercial and entertainment contract litigation. In transactional work, I have personally handled motion picture finance, television deals, reality show performance contracts, record deals, record label foundations, management contracts, song licensing, band merchandising, music publishing, songwriter and production deals, motion picture development contracts, as well as copyright and trademark counseling and filing. I also have experience in the areas of Nevada business formation and franchises.. I have been featured as an alumni guest speaker at Harvard Law School, and as a guest presenter at the International Academy of Design and Emerson College.. The personal side: “I grew up in the Niagara region of Ontario, Canada, spending much of my childhood on a farm outside a steeltown about 15 miles from Buffalo, New York. My mother’s family were mostly union iron and steelworkers, my father a military officer.  During my teen years, things got more exciting and through a random series of events I was able to spend time in Germany with my father, and later attended boarding school in New Zealand and then college in Hawaii.  I developed a strong affinity for the people and cultures of Polynesia, and even performed in Samoan and Maori culture dance troupes.. During college I took two years off to serve a religious mission in Seattle, Washington, where I worked solely with the Spanish-speaking immigrants in the metro Seattle area.  We not only taught doctrine but helped people find jobs, establish social groups and make new friends, get furniture for their empty homes, and helped people integrate and build lives in America.  Their problems were our problems, and those years working with Latin families in their homes gave me invaluable insight into the communities and the struggles of Hispanic immigrants to the USA.  It was also in Seattle that I first considered being an attorney - I never even knew any lawyers before then… a big departure from wanting to be an artist.  I returned to Hawaii, changed majors from Visual Art to International Business, and worked on getting into law school.. When I went to law school at Harvard, I was the only person who said they wanted to be a plaintiff’s lawyer; a friend who is an injury lawyer won me over with stories about his cases helping severely injured people.  I was also the only person in the whole class to start their own practice right away, as soon as I was licensed I formed my first practice.  And I’ve been proud to help people who have been injured, people accused of crimes, families in financial trouble, artists and small business owners with intellectual property issues and more.  I like working with people and now enjoy the ‘counselor’ role of the attorney.. I’m married with three young children.  I enjoy movies and documentaries, photography and graphic design, exotic sports cars and languages.  Still dabbling in Photoshop and typography, I also created the infamous Hello Kitty Ferrari that went around the internet.”

I have been representing Las Vegas since 1982. My grandfather was a lawyer, my father was a lawyer, and I started working with my father in 1982 litigating criminal and family law cases. In 1982 I passed the bar after graduating CUM LAUDE from California Western School of Law. I was accepted into the US Navy as a Judge Avocate General (i.e., lawyer in the Navy), and I tried many felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. I was in charge of the Navy's equivalent to the Personal Injury Section for the year, and I gained much criminal and civil experience.. In 1986, I was honorably discharged from the Navy, and I entered private practice with my father. Ever since, I have tried many criminal (both felony and misdemeanor cases), family law cases, and personal injury cases. I also did Chapter 7 Bankruptcies for almost 20 years.. My practice now centers on contracts, criminal, personal injury, all family law (divorce, TPO, child custody), and general civil litigation. My hourly fee of $ (negotiable) is lower than most other attorneys, simply beacuse my overhead is lower. I also have a paralegal service for those who cannot afford an attorney.. "I BELIEVE IN JUSTICE, AND MY ONLY GOAL IS TO SERVE MY CLIENT'S BEST INTEREST, ALWAYS!". Yo he estado representando Las Vegas desde 1982. Mi abuelo fue un abogado, mi padre fue un abogado, y yo comence a trabajar con mi padre en 1982 para litigar casos de derecho penal y familiar. Having been raised in Las Vegas since childbirth, I have seen this town change many times.  Having been the son of a Personal Injury attorney (Tommy F. Deaver, Esq.), I have frequently heard how the legal system has changed.  For years my dad would ask me, "Are you sure you want to go into law?"  My determination never waivered. In fact, I can remember wanting to me a laywer from an early age.. Over the years I have realized that what my dad was saying was true.  The legal system has changed. In fact, it has become more and more difficult for clients to recovery the settlements they deserve.. It has been said that "the only way for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing".  As a member of the legal community, I feel it an honor to go up against bullies (insurance companies) and aggressively seek the compensation my clients deserve.  Too often I hear from my clients that their previous attorney talked them into settling that was either (1) too little, and/or (2) they didn't want to settle the case.  Although its not possible to "hit a home run" on every case, we believe that given the size of our office, no case is too small.  We also believe that given our experience, no case is too large.. While most attorneys talk their clients into a settlement short of litigation, we evaluate every case properly and routinely advise filing a lawsuit to achieve the maxium settlement our clients deserve.. As a native of Las Vegas, this is my home and this is where i plan on staying,

From very early in his life David was taught the importance of helping others.  While David’s earliest experiences in helping people were in providing physical service, it soon became apparent that David was best able to help others through standing up for those who had been wronged.. David discovered his gift for public speaking at an early age.  He served as the captain of his speech and debate team both his junior and senior year at Mountain View High School in Arizona where he competed in many forensic events, including the Arizona State Championship Tournament. David continued his pursuits in college, winning a number of speech tournaments in his freshman and sophomore year. From 1990 to 1992 David lived in The Netherlands while he served a mission for his church. After his mission David obtained his Bachelor’s degree and entered law school at Brigham Young University where he continues to hone his skills as a member of the law school’s Moot Court team.  David competed in multiple intercollegiate tournaments, including traveling to Manhattan to represent his school in the National Championship in 1998.. David is very proud of his accomplishments in the legal field thus far in his career. He began in law school working as a clerk with Birch and Birch, as well as Spence, Motiarty and Scheuster. Upon passing the bar David began practicing law in 1998 and joined a local law office during the summer of 1999. One of the first clients David represented was a young woman who had been struck by a taxi cab and had severely injured her back. That case ultimately settled for $1,900,.*  A few years later David procured a settlement in the amount of $4,500, on a case involving an adult care facility that left one of its patient’s outside in the Las Vegas sun for a number of hours. Since then David has taken a number of cases to jury trial himself including: a motorcycle accident case which resulted in a $593, judgment for his client, a $350, judgment for a man who was struck when acar ran a stop sign, and a $394, judgment for a client who lost his hearing as a result of medical malpractice.  David was most recently involved in an action for insurance bad faith against Allstate insurance company.  That case resulted in a verdict for Allstate’s customer for over $1,600, because Allstate acted improperly.. David has obtained a number of other judgments during his career, including a $250, judgment for a woman who suffered an annular tear in her back, a $400, judgment for an adolescent girl who had been bitten by a dog, and a $1,000, for a adolescent girl who was assaulted by a sexual predator. David’s most recent judgments include an $8.5 million judgment against a drunk driver, and a $1.2 million judgment against a drunk driver who struck a pedestrian.  David has also settled several hundred cases in his career.  While many of these cases are subject to confidentiality, one case David can discuss is a settlement for $1,200, against Republic Silver State that resulted when a Silver State field safety officer ran a stop sign and killed a motorcyclist.. On a personal note David enjoys playing the guitar and the drums. He is married and has what he calls the four most wonderful daughters on the planet. Few disagree with him. David lives his life, and his law practice, by a very simple philosophy he learned while attending law school: love those over whom you have a stewardship, do whatever it takes to get what is best for them, and everything else will fall into place.  David sums up his life and career thus far as follows, “I love what I do. I love the clients I work for and the people I work with, and I would never dream of asking for more.”
