My name is Destiny McHughes and I am the owner and Managing Member of Destiny Law Firm, PLLC. I worked for the McHughes Law Firm in third party debt collections for 20 years. A few years ago I decided that I needed to be in a position to better help people with their legal problems. Hence, I went to law school and recently graduated from UALR Bowen School of Law. After passing the Arkansas Bar Exam, I opened my own firm. We are a boutique firm that caters to a variety of legal needs. I have a long-standing history of community outreach and I thoroughly enjoy helping fellow members of our community. I volunteer regularly and even started a Mentor program at the local juvenile detention center. It’s important to me to be able to help others and guide our youth to a better path and better opportunities in life. Similarly, it’s important to me to be able to help and guide my clients through what can be some of the most difficult times of their lives. I value professionalism and always have a genuine care for my clients and their legal issues. Moreover, I’m honored to have Josh E. McHughes and Rebecca J. Denison serve as Of Counsel to the firm. Both Josh and Rebecca have a combination of over 75 years experience in the practice of law. I was born in North Little Rock, AR and lived in Sherwood until 2012, when I moved to Maumelle, AR.  I attended high school at Central Arkansas Christian and graduated in 2002.  I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2006 and from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law in 2009.. I became a lawyer because I want to help people in their time of need as I would want someone to help me in the same, or similar, situations.. What I like most about the law is that: First, it protects me and my family every single day. Second, the law seems very shallow on its surface, but in reality it is very deep and requires someone with a special mind to grasp it, understand it, and be able to apply it to their clients' tactical advantage.

I have been in private practice for more than 10 years, My experience in representing clients facing hard financial times began in law school when I clerked at the Public Defender’s and Sen. Blanche Lincoln’s office, and I understand the challenges individuals face with a job loss, sudden illness, the cost of childcare and rising costs of living.. I graduated from the UA in Fayetteville with a B.A. in Advertising/Public Relations and graduated from UA – Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law in 2007. I have been practicing law for 10+ years, specializing in consumer bankruptcy matters, debtor-creditor litigation, and consumer transaction, and currently serve on the executive committee of the debtor-creditor section of the Arkansas Bar Association.. Born and raised in Little Rock, my husband and I live in Little Rock with their three children and several pets.. After thirteen years working in mental health and substance use disorders, Cristy Park began her legal career protecting the civil rights of Arkansans with disabilities as a staff attorney with Disability Rights Arkansas. At Disability Rights Arkansas, Cristy handled a variety of issues, including ensuring school districts provided proper services to students who qualified for special education, restoring dignity and autonomy of individuals with disabilities by removing unnecessary guardianships, and collaborating with state and national civil rights organizations to file a federal class action lawsuit to ensure protections for individuals incarcerated in Arkansas state prisons through the COVID-19 pandemic.. Cristy later began working for Arkansas’s Department of Education, serving as the primary legal counsel for the Office of Special Education, the Arkansas School for the Deaf, the Arkansas School for the Blind, and the Child Nutrition Unit. Through this position, Cristy continued to protect the rights of individuals with disabilities, while developing skills in labor and employment law, policy drafting, drafting and negotiating contracts, and state and federal government procurement.. Building on her experience with contracts and procurement, Cristy went on to join the United States Army Corps of Engineers as the primary litigation attorney for the contracts team. In this role, Cristy ensured compliance with federal law throughout the procurement of hundreds of millions of dollars in federal contracts, including construction and international military projects, defended the Government against bid protests, handled contract disputes, represented the Government in administrative appeals, and worked with the Department of Justice to prosecute trespasses and encroachments on public lands. Additionally, Cristy served as an ethics officer, providing training and real-time advice on ethical matters.. At Prestige Legal, Cristy combines her experience to provide a variety of legal services, including representing students in special education issues, representing employees in employment discrimination, handling a wide range of contract disputes, providing procurement consultation to state and federal contractors, representing state and federal contractors in bid protests, requests for equitable relief, and contract appeals, providing general counsel to small businesses, and business and nonprofit formation and consultation.
