Don A. Eilbott was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, the fifth generation of his family to live there. His father was a noted criminal defense attorney. At a young age, Don Eilbott began attending trials with his father. He attended Pine Bluff schools and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BSBA and JD. While attending U of A, he was active in his college fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and various campus organizations including Beta Gamma Sigma, an honorary business society.. After graduation in 1974, as the youngest attorney in Arkansas at the time, he returned to Pine Bluff and began practice with Reinberger, Eilbott, Smith, and Staten. He continued to practice in Pine Bluff until 2003. During that time, his varied practice took him to trials in over 60 counties in Arkansas, ranging from capital murder defense to insurance litigation.. In 1982 Eilbott and a group of associates founded Arkansas Title Insurance Company. It was and has remained the only Arkansas domiciled title insurance underwriter. Eilbott and his wife, Mari Cousins Eilbott, a noted artist, live in Little Rock. He and Mari love to relax in their cedar log cabin in Heber Springs.
