Thom Diaz was born in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.  He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia, graduating with honors.  He graduated Cum Laude from Marquette University Law School.  Thom served in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps from 1990 until 1993..
