After graduating from Pittsburg High School, Alan earned a Bachelor of Science degree summa cum laude from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas, where he majored in political science and was a member of the Douglas MacArthur Academy of Freedom. In May 2009, he received his Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School, where he was a member of the nationally-ranked mock trial advocacy teams. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 2009.. Alan was a part of a trial team that won a $727, verdict in July 2010 for a car wreck victim who required spinal disc replacement surgery.. In September 2011, Alan graduated from the nationally-renowned Trial Lawyers College in Dubois, Wyoming, founded by Gerry Spence..
