In practice since 1991, Larry Zerner has earned the reputation as one of the most passionate and committed entertainment attorneys in Los Angeles. Larry is committed to safeguarding your most valuable assets: the words, images and ideas that you have created. He passionately represents entertainment industry clients and others looking for results in the fairest, fastest way possible.
Beyond that, on a very real and human level, Larry is known to be comforting, non-intimidating, easy to work with and, despite his profession and his industry accomplishments, one of the most plain-speaking entertainment attorneys you will ever find. In other words, he speaks with his clients in real English... not in legalese!
Larry started his career as an actor and comedian in Hollywood (giving Jason Vorhees his hockey mask in Friday the 13th Part 3) which gives Larry a unique perspective on the entertainment business. In his off time, Larry is busy seeing movies, playing with his dogs, and playing guitar and golf (neither very well)
In my spare time, I enjoy travel, snowboarding, basketball, tennis, music, comedy, blogging, reading, history, food, and consversational Spanish.

In 1969 I entered practice with Southeast Neighborhood Legal Services, which was a program that provided a full range of free legal representation to people who could not afford an attorney. During that time, I handled every type of problem that a person could have - from evictions to defending against debt collectors, to defending uninsured motorists who were being sued by insurance companies. The last one and a half years with this Organization I took over the Family Law area of the practice and handled 2500 divorces in Court. Most were uncontested. There were at least two contested matter per week during this time. In 1972 I opened my own practice and specialized in Divorce and Plaintiffs Personal Injury. I stopped taking contested divorces in 1987. From 1984 through 1990, in addition to Personal Injury and Family Law, I took two major litigation cases involving multiple Plaintiffs and Defendants. The first was defending a Property Management company that was an ancillary Defendant in a major Ponzie type scheme. The second case was Defending an owner of a Cemetary and Crematorium in a Class Action lawsuit involving the inappropriate disposition of Ashes. Both of these cases were settled. The main focus of my practice at the present time is Plaintiff's personal Injury and general litigation, with the occassional uncontested divorce.

If you need a criminal defense lawyer, you're probably going through a rough patch in your life. The last thing you need is a lawyer that promises you the moon but fails to deliver when it's time to act.. Unfortunately, I've had too many coversations with clients who've had poor experiences with lawyers in their past. They were guaranteed accessibility and dedication, instead received unreturned phone calls and empty promises.. I refuse to practice law that way. I take my duties to my clients very seriously.. As a client of mine, it is your right to communicate with me regularly, ask me questions about issues you don't understand and get my best effort in resolving your case.. Although, I never guarantee the end result in your case; I guarantee to work hard and do whatever I can to help you obtain the best resolution possible.. I love the work that I do and have surrounded myself with some of the top legal minds in the area. I also belong to a number of local and national bar associations and understand the importance of giving back to the community through pro bono services when I can.

I was born in Istanbul, Turkey of Armenian descent. I immigrated to the United States in 1974, at the time just 4 months old. I knew, from early in my legal training that I would be an immigration attorney. In fact, it is all I specialize in. Immigration law and more importantly, unpublished policy, changes so quickly that if an attorney does not focus their entire practice on immigration law, they will miss something.. On a personal note, I am married for 11 years and two wonderful boys ages 2 and 4. I love representing my clients and learning about their cultures, business ventures and industry.
I was born and raised in the Midwest, Cedar Rapids, Iowa to be exact. While growing up, athletics were my biggest interest. This continued through high school and college. I attended college on a football scholarship, and was also on the wrestling team. While still in high school I won the Iowa Golden Gloves championship in the heavyweight division.. After college I started my business and professional career as a real estate salesperson and broker. This morphed into a construction business where, as a general contractor, building single family and multi-family projects.. I attended law school while in my 30s. I developed an interest in bankruptcy law right from the start. After graduating from law school, with honors, I relocated to Los Angeles, and began my legal career with a firm in Westwood, Saltzburg, Ray & Bergman. After three four-terms at three firms, I started my own firm in 1999. Except for a short detour with a firm from 2015 until June of 2019, I have had my own practice ever since.. I am married and have two sons who are officers in the United States Army. I also have an 18-year old daughter who is finishing high school and looking toward the next step.. My interest in bankruptcy and commercial law, including bankruptcy litigation and business and real estate litigation, is as strong now as when I started. I enjoy it, a lot.
I was an insurance defense attorney for 30 years. It was a really great part of my life and the best part was I got to try (and mostly win) over 60 jury trials. Given changes in the defense industry, I decided it was time to make a change. Given my trial experience, I had quite a few plaintiff firms making me offers to come work for them. I picked a firm (Law Offices of Brian J. Breiter) I tried a case with several years ago, and I am rather pleased as they are a trial lawyer firm, and it does make a difference representing individuals against the insurance companies. The fit is, as they say, perfect.
I want to help people get the benefits they deserve. I don't appreciate insurance companies taking advantage of the hard working individuals in our society and will fight to protect and help those individuals.. We provide legal help in worker's compensation and personal injury. If you or someone you know was injured at work or as a result of a 3rd party, please call us to find out how we best can help you.. History. Established in 2010.. We have focused on worker's compensation and personal injury since our inception. We believe by focusing in an area of law, we can provide better results for our clients.
I take pride in my practice and I really enjoy helping my clients through an unfamiliar road. I consider myself a tourguide or a counselor, guiding them and keeping them on the safe path, keeping their assets safe, keeping the assets of their family safe, and making sure that life on the other side of bankruptcy is brighter. Client satisfaction is my number one priority. I know that my clients are going through a tough time and I want to make the process as painless as possible.
I started my firm in June 2015 because I love people and I wanted to work with people. There are a lot of lawyers who represent big corporations, but I wanted to represent good people for their righteous cases. That's why I represent employees against their employers and the victims of injuries in personal injury cases. My clients have been wronged, oppressed and their rights have somehow been violated. I work on a contingency-basis so my clients don't have to worry about paying me until the case is resolved and a settlement or a verdict has been reached. It's a huge honor for my team and I to represent our clients and achieve justice!. When I first started, I rented a very tiny office for myself. About six months in to my practice I hired my first legal assistant. The amount of clients I was representing began to increase so I moved into a bigger office and hired more staff. I now have talented and compassionate attorneys who work here along with hardworking and dedicated assistants and paralegals.
I started my career as a civil litigator in a small firm. I did this for less than a year and instead pursued my passion for being in the courtroom and helping people by becoming a Deputy Public Defender for the County of Riverside. I practiced criminal defense with the Public Defender’s Office for over five years, handling thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies. In handling those cases, I conducted hundreds of preliminary hearings, motions and trials. I also gained extensive invaluable experience in the niche area of juvenile law having represented hundreds if not thousands of children being charged with crimes. Working as a Public Defender in Riverside was a very rewarding experience especially in the time I was there. While I was there, we dealt with a very tough District Attorney’s office and this helped mold me into the knowledgeable, aggressive, and fearless attorney that I am now.. I offer a free consultation on your cases. For more information, please visit my website at .
I spent the first 30+ years of career in the largest law firms in the world, including in various management positions. In 2011, I decided that my clients no longer needed that infrastructure (or overhead), and opened my own firm. It has worked out quite well for my clients, my family, and me.
