Matthew Delude focuses his practice on commercial and appellate litigation. He counsels clients on a wide range of matters including bankruptcy, commercial litigation, insurance litigation, and quiet title actions, among many others. Before joining our Manchester office, Matthew practiced at one of the country’s leading international law firms, where he represented clients in matters before the United States Supreme Court and other federal courts. Matthew’s New Hampshire practice is very diverse, and includes representation of individuals involved in a small claims dispute in state court one day and representation of an institutional client as amicus curiae before the United States Supreme Court the next.

I have represented businesses and individuals engaged in various aspects of the construction trade, media companies defending defamation claims, product manufacturers facing warranty claims, technology developers in business-to-business disputes and noncompetition litigation, victims of professional negligence, and many other types of businesses.I provide general advice to locum tenens staffing companies and teleradiology companies. I have developed expertise in records and data management policies and the management of electronically stored information. I have drafted records management policies implemented by a variety of businesses. I have also lectured and presented on all aspects of document retention and destruction policies, with particular emphasis on their application to litigation. I have cultivated skill in the electronic discovery practices and data mining techniques that impact all litigation matters as well.

I am a Director in McLane's Litigation Department, and Chair of our Privacy and Data Security Group. In my 18 years as a lawyer, I have managed, litigated and resolved numerous commercial matters involving business, technology, and employment issues in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New England, and around the country.Drawing on deep experience with complex commercial litigation, I have developed particular areas of expertise in business, technology and employment litigation. For example, I handle disputes concerning misappropriation of trade secrets, and breaches of non-competition and non-disclosure agreements. Likewise, cases involving corporate and shareholder disputes, breaches of the duty of loyalty, and unfair competition are areas in which I excel. My aptitudes with technology and commercial litigation also have enabled me to develop an extensive body of knowledge and skill with electronic discovery.Combining my business, technology and employment interests, I have developed a depth and breadth of experience in privacy and data security.
