I have been practicing family law in the Los Angeles area for approximately 22 years.  I offer a reduced-rate initial consultation for divorce clients.  During this conference, I will explain basic California divorce law to you and review the major aspects of your matter.  I try to provide a realistic evaluation of your situation, supported by my knowledge of California divorce law and my experience in litigating divorce matters in Court.. If you are considering mediation, then I will meet with you and your spouse together for an initial consultation and explain the mediation process to you during our conference.  My mediation style is to use my litigation skills to evaluate for each party that party's position and then to assist the participants in reaching a decision, based on the law, that is right for their reorganized family.  On average, parties complete the mediation process in approximately 5 sessions, with each session lasting 2 hours.
